Venom PlayStation 4 Twin Charge Docking Station - Black (PS4)

The drop and charge design ilallows to charge the PS4 and PS5 controllers via contact points rather than being plugging using cables. The ease of charging two controllers at one go is a great add, also having an additional USB port allows you to charge the headset too. LED indicators indicates whether the controllers have been charged fully or not. The quality of the docking station is excellent and price is very reasonable compared to Sony docking station. Why go for Sony when Venom does the same job at a lower price. The docking station was dropped from 3 feet height twice and is still intact and works fine. Made of durable materials and it's compactness ensures that no cables are not visible.

I bought this product as my Dual Shock 4's (all 3 of them), were starting to get damaged from being plugged in to charge up. The micro usb port on all of them was getting wobbly, and sometimes they weren't charging unless the wire was in exactly the right place. This is an issue as the battery on them lasts a very short time compared to the dual shock 3 from the PS3, so they are plugged in and out frequently causing damage over a much shorter time. They arrived well packaged and looked very smart when unpacked. The design of the base unit is close to that of the PS4 itself so it looks good next to the console. The unit is very simple to set up, just plug the USB lead into a spare USB port either on the PS4 itself or you can use a spare phone wall charger (I have a power block with USB ports on and it works fine with that too). The little attachments for the controllers goes in the micro USB and sits nice and tight with no moving about. The controllers seem to charge at the same rate as just using a normal lead and don't appear to discharge any quicker. The controllers don't feel any different in your hand and the weight gain is negligible, I was worried that my fingers would get caught on the extra piece on the back of the controller, luckily it is so small that it is not an issue as it is practically unnoticeable. Being able to just drop the controller onto the base unit after a session playing the latest hit game when you suddenly realise you have been playing for far too long and have to be up for work in far too short a time is great. Also not having to take a lead out makes it far simpler for my 6 year old to grab a controller and play a bit of Minecraft when I am trying to convince the baby that it is bed time. This unit is great so we have bought a second one so all our controllers are always charged ready for family gaming sessions on rainy weekends. PROS -Avoid damage to ports on controllers -Unit looks good -Much tidier than having USB cables everywhere CONS -Doesn't fit with rubber controller skins -The blue lights that are permanently on are very bright

This is a good product,it has good charging speed and pretty good value for money.It is also compatible with the controllers .It also looks good on the out side overall a good product but there's still room for improvement.

Really easy to use product that delivers well on what its purpose is. It’s small in size so it doesn’t take up much space and sits nicely next to the PS4. It is a simple plug in USB & works with the PlayStation; no set up needed. Very lightweight too. Although it’s not an official product it looks like it is one sitting next to the console. I like that it has a simple red/blue light logo to indicate when a product is charging or has fully charged. It seems to charge pretty quickly and it’s handy having one controller on charge whilst you are using another controller.

The official Sony charge stand is fiddly to use and prone to being broken by young gamers. After replacing one where the connectors broke and seeing my son struggle with the replacement, I decided to look for something better. This charge stand is inexpensive and, while not perfect, has a number of improvements over the Sony product. Pros: + Controllers pretty much fall into place and begin charging - much easier than the Sony product. + Uses USB charging (i.e. from PS4 console), so does not take up precious mains sockets! + Much much cheaper than the official Sony product. Cons: - USB lead is hardwired in, so cannot be swapped out for a longer/shorter lead if needed. I had to purchase a separate USB extender. - Only comes with two charge adaptors... if you have more than 2 controllers, you end up having to swap them round. - Charge adaptors are rather ugly - Obnoxiously bright blue lights on the front are constantly on; a dim, single red LED would be so much more civilised (and stylish). The charge adaptors don't get in the way while holding the controller, so I can live with their aesthetic shortcomings. I do wish this product came with 4 charge adaptors, or even that the charge adaptors could be purchased separately. Also... bright blue lights are completely passé - even early 20 somethings have stopped putting them on their souped-up hatchbacks. Please consider replacing with something more subtle as an indicator that the device is receiving power. And there's no good reason why the USB lead has to be hardwired into the unit. This just creates an unnecessary point-of-failure, and an inconvenience to anyone who wants the device more than 12 inches from a USB socket. Overall, considering the price (and the easy availability of black electrical tape), I would recommend this product over the official Sony one, for charging your PS4 joypads.

Got the docking station today and the dongles fit both my official and third party controllers. Plugged the USB A connector into the media PC which is turned of and the lights on the front came on blue. Then I placed the third party controller onto the dock and it started charging so I placed the official controller on and it also started charging, both lights on the dock turned red to show charging. Can't say how fast the dock is at charging as my controllers were both almost full when I put them on, but as I am typing this the official controller is fully charged and the dock light has gone blue to show it is charged and the controller light has gone off. As somebody else said it would have been good to have had the supplied lead not part of the dock, even though shouldn't be a problem as I won't be moving it around. Very happy that I won't have to put my PS4 in rest mode to charge the controllers, even though I have tried rest mode and the dock does turn off for a short while then when the PS4 is fully in rest mode it does come back on. Even though Venom don't mention this it is also charging using USB wall socket chargers which is definetely an added bonus. Tried 3 different ones of varying ages from 1 to 7 years old. As usual only time will tell how long it actually keep on working, but for now I am more than happy with it.

Muy cómodos y buenos para cargar controles. Queda el clip pegado al control para cuando lo dejes en el Dock se carguen en cuanto depositas el control.

Très bon chargeur, sobre reprenant le même aspect que la console. Le système de dongle USB restant à demeure sur la dualshock 4 est très pratique, tient bien en place et permet d'éviter l'usure prématurée de la prise USB sur la manette. Pas de faux contacts et utilisation simplissime, la manette se pose toute seule dans son emplacement et se met en charge aussitôt posée. La charge fonctionne également lorsque la PS4 est en mode "repos". Si je devais donner un point négatif, je dirais que la lumière émise par les 2 voyants est un peu forte dans le noir complet.

Aangesloten op de usb poort van de playstation. De “stekkers” zitten aan de controller en daardoor heb je ze alleen te docken. Ze kleuren rood wanneer ze laden en blauw als ze vol zijn.
