Classical guitar for beginners
Yamaha classical guitar C40II is good value for money and has good tone and volume. I think it's also suitable for flamenco.

Great value for money
I have a number of guitars and wanted a Spanish style but didn’t want to pay too much. So after some research, decided to try this. Out of the box it played and sounded great. Restrung it with quite expensive strings to see if I could get an even better sound. To be honest there was not a great difference so it must come with decent strings to start with. For around a £100 it’s not going to look like premium model but it looks fine. The way it sounds and plays is more important for me and if I’d payed three times more I would still be very satisfied. Overall, a bargain.

Good choice
All good just came with paint detail on the top but all right, good guitar for study

Action way too high even for a classical guitar
I am a learner guitarist who loves setting up guitars or upgrading electric guitars, the action on this guitar was so high when I took delivery it was almost impossible to play, I ended up sanding an 1/8 if an inch off the bottom of the saddle to get it anywhere near playable, how it got past Yamaha's qa control is beyond me, saying that once it's set up it is a nice instrument to learn classical guitar on. Very lightweight, and with new strings fitted it sounds very good. The finish on body and neck are good. All in all after a but if tinkering it is good value.

Perfect guitar for beginners!
I really like this guitar. It's well manifactured and produces a very good sound. It was my first guitar and I'm very happy with the purchase. The strings weren't top quality ones though, eventually I had to change the D string (third one) after a few months. I bought some Daddario here on amazon and changing the string was quite straightforward.

Extremely buzzy
This is a lovely looking guitar, but that unfortunately does not sound great. It's extremely buzzy, especially on the three bottom strings. Do not buy it, you will hate the sound. I contacted Yamaha for a repair and they have been extremely bureaucratic. For the same amount you can buy a great sounding second-hand guitar.

Nice entry level guitar!
A perfect entry level guitar for someone starting to learn playing guitar like me (and I wanted specifically the CLASSICAL GUITAR, not ACOUTIS GUITAR), and I can say it was one of the best idea to come to me during the city-wide lockdown! The brand Yamaha is well known in the instrumental world and its quality has proven it (Btw it's made in Indonesia, if anyone cares about that).
