I use this daily for the peace of mind it gives me, Always hated the worrying feeling of someone pulling my laptop out of my backpack, so this attached through a few straps feels very secure. I don't expect this to stop someone breaking it off, but it might deter someone from trying to grab and run

Works perfectly

Purchased this for my DJ decks and having never used a Kensington lock before I was excited to try it (yes the sad life I lead). The whole thing seemed well made and served its purpose well. Would recommend.

It's a very thin cable. It looks like the crimp on the looped end could be defeated by melting the wire's plastic sheathing with a lighter.Will deter a chancer, anyone determined will get past this lock in seconds. But that is probably true of all locks of this type.

Just what they wanted

I've ordered a new slimline laptop so this mini Kensington lock will be perfect. I'm still waiting for my GS65 so I will come back and add more when it arrives.

A worthwhile security investment, does exactly what it says on the bag.

I work in IT so I actually have several laptops that I use regularly, depending on what I'm doing. I've got a Toshiba Portage ultrabook and it works perfectly with this. I've got a more modern Lenovo laptop and I cannot get the lock to attach no matter what I do, similarly with a Microsoft Surface 2 laptop. The Toshiba one is my main works laptop so i take it with me when I travel around the country for work, this lock comes in handy for leaving a laptop in a hotel room in the evening, easy to attach to a table in the room.It's a shame it doesn't appear to work in all laptops, I'd check the Kensington web site for details before buying and PLEASE remember that this cannot guarantee that your computer will not be stolen, it just makes it a bit harder.
