very useful and easy to use product
I saw this in use and immediately wanted to buy for myself. It is a well designed and sturdy product. It is easy to sit the camera into the holder and it is very securely held by the locking mechanism which is also easy to release. The only downside is that it uses the camera's tripod mount so you would have to remove the fitting to fix on a tripod. Warning: make sure the pin on the camera is firmed threshed into place - one of my cameras dropped when the pin loosened itself on a walk!

Awesome product just wish it was made of stronger stuff
If you own a dslr camera or film gear, you know how tiring it gets holding onto it for long periods. How sour your neck gets from a long festival or event, but you also want to ensure your gear is secure from theft and trust me that always happens. That's why I bought this item and it's why you're looking at it too. Do i recommend getting it? Short answer yes but i have to recognise the fault with it which is why it's a short term purchase. For the price it's awesome. It fits nice and snug on the waist and suitable for any belt size. The screw thread attachment that connects to the camera is metal so it's strong and won't corrode so it's built to last. It even slides in and out of the holster easily but i just wished the holster was as durable. Though it's never broken the locking mechanism has bent before and nearly caused the camera to fall out several times. In addition i can imagine if walking through a tight crowd that the holster could snap off the belt. It's the only reason why i haven't given it a full 5 stars. If you're starting out by all means purchase it but if you're willing to spend an extra £15 definitely buy a version with a metal holster.

Initially great. Soon disappointing.
Was working fantastically well, allowing my compact camera (didn't try it with an SLR) to be quickly taken off my belt for shooting. Great for rapid fire street photography. The screw-in thread into the tripod hole on the bottom of my camera made a tight connection that didn't come undone, but I did attach an extra tether just in case, or in case I dropped it getting it out of the belt clip (I never dropped it but the extra reassurance was nice, particularly if wanting to use this with an SLR). Unfortunately after about 4 weeks of use (on my belt a few hours a week altogether) the button mechanism at the side has come loose and it can no longer hold the camera in place when you slot it in. Thus after 4 weeks it has been rendered completely useless.

Good investment at the price and just strong enough. Worth a try.
This really worked well for me and is a steal at the price. I have used it over several days for a few months and it shows no sign of wear so far with a D-SLR with heavy telephoto lens. As per other reviews the lack of ability to lock the catch open is an annoyance. Although I was able to develop some sleight of hand that enabled me to get it out one-handed, normally you would need two hands, with the left hand reaching across to get at the release and lifting the camera out with the right, or the left releasing the catch and the right reaching across for the camera, due to the orientation of the release lever. I McGyvered a long strap by clipping another strap to my standard one, but it looks naff and I would recommend obtaining a decent strap of the correct length.

Throw-a-way price for a throw-a-way item
This product is trash. One look and you can tell this will fail and go in the bin, there is nothing about it that makes you think it's going to be durable. In the video I have a small canon powershot sub-slr on it,I think that's about it's limit. The camera flops around and dangles in exactly the way you don't want your camera to do. In no way would I consider mounting any of my full size SLRs to it. If you do make the mistake of purchasing this item for the love of God please thread your camera neck or shoulder strap round your belt or bag to limit the chances of your camera hitting the deck when this inevitably fails. Update: I packaged up and returned this item the same day it arrived.

Great value and product.
Used it for the first time this week when photographing a wedding. Great when using two DSLRs. I had it on a Canon 5d with a 70-200mm f2.8 lens and RT600 flashgun with no problem. That's about as heavy as you can go for a camera set-up (ok 1d is heavier with a 900mm lens but you ain't going to a wedding with it) and it worked with no problem. Saved my neck. Longevity unknown.

Good quaility at a great price.
I’m extremely impressed with the product. My intended use was for Gorilla trekking in Uganda and I am writing this review following my trip. For a once in a lifetime trip I wanted to take multiple cameras so I would not need to change lens and miss a shot. To achieve this I needed a way to carry multiple cameras and keep my hands free as the terrain is very uneven. The product works flawlessly. The majority of the product is made of good quality hard plastic with metal reinforcing around the base of the ball joint slot. There is a catch that the joint passes when inserted, you must depress the catch to release the camera. I originally had concerns that this would be inconvenient but it works well and I like the fact it can’t detach if u lean over. My only point of quibble is that the thread length of ball joint was a little too long for my camera (d750). I opted to install a small rubber washer onto the thread which both shortens the thread and provides a tension for a secure fit. Maybe the seller will read this and include one in future, here is hoping. Barring this issue I would not hesitate to recommend the product

great piece of kit.
amazing! this has enabled me to secure my camera quickly and safely to my belt and take notes. I saw similar products at the camera show but this was inexpensive and prefect. the weight distribution means you can't feel your camera on you, much better than having it around your neck. I think it has been one of my best buys in 2016. caution must be taken to screw the metal bolt to the camera use the alan key as it has loosened now and then but great product.
