The box states there should be an eraser included. This is missing. Has anyone else had the same problem?

The eraser is indeed missing! However, you can use a damp cloth instead.

Can you use liquid chalk pens that are wet wipe pens?

I have bought some liquid chalk pens to go with this , that can be wiped off just with kitchen roll.

Can you put this on the back of a wooden door using double sided tape or something similar?

Not double sided tape. But if you use command strips it will work. It isn’t that heavy but I think double sided tape isn’t going to be strong enough to hold it to be fair.

Is this is a gloss or matt finish please?

Gloss. Had ours quite some time now. Still use it. Good quality
