Pleasantly suprised!
I've literally only just received this item, so can't comment on durability just yet. As for the device itself I can't fault it. Nicely packaged and easy to install. Using Windows 10 I plugged into a spare USB and within a second or two I was up and running. I bought this for my 6 month old HP laptop as the built in auto sensing headphone socket it useless. Once this had installed I simply went to the Windows Sound window (In Windows 10 hit your start key and then just type sound. It should be the first item that comes up. Right click on the device and select 'Set as default device'. That should ensure that whenever you plug this device in your computer will prioritise it for audio. A for sound quality I was quite impressed! I wasn't expecting a massive amount to be fair giving the purchase price (£5.99 with free Prime delivery) but it sounds great, and has plenty of volume when listening via headphones. I can't comment on the quality of the input as yet, as I have nothing to plug into it, but I can see that it is a true mic input, ie not line level, as is only mono. Probably perfect if you wanted to plug a headset in for skype or gaming. The only thing I would say is that due to the width of the device (which is justified as it has 2 x 3.5mm jack sockets in it) you would struggle to plug a device into an adjacent USB socket on a laptop. Worth bearing in mind if you have limited USB sockets or have a lot of devices to plug in. I should imagine that if you use a USB hub this wouldn't be as much of an issue. I shall be trying this out over the next week or so and then probably be buying another one to ease connectivity when i'm at my desk in work.

don't be put off by those who say the audio will be poor - it's not. It's very good! I really like it!
Upon learning to DJ i found out i needed a soundcard so i can hear the music in my headphones and the current track playing on my laptop. I went on a DJ forum and asked them what would be best and when i told them about this one, i remember a few laughing and saying it won't last long and the quality of the audio will be poor. But i thought you know what, the reviews on here are that it does the job and it's affordable where a guy on the dj forum recommended me to get a audio interface worth £80 on here but i thought thats way to much when all i wanna do is set up in my bedroom, have a play at mixing and if i like it then buy a controller to dj on with my laptop. They didnt understand this and why i brought something cheap. But to anyone who wants to DJ from their laptop at home and doesnt yet have a kontroller then forget the people who say it won't be any good. This is quality and it would be a 5 star only reason it isn't the natural progression is a controller so i wont need it soon. But yes get it. The audio is really good!

Its Better than you would think
I bought it to try it out but I didn't really believe it would work. It did and the performance was superb. I'm still stunned as I write this!

Good for the price, but take care
[EDIT: strangely the device now listed and pictured is not the one I purchased. Seller seems to have changed the listing. The device I reviewed has no buttons and is quite small with a C-Media chipset. It's still a 'Sabrent' but no fancy buttons and was selling for cheaper.] I'm a hifi nut and use parametrically equalised headphones and hifi audio sources (O2/ODAC combo). I got this for my little brother as his onboard sound failed. It sounds good enough, better than the price would suggest. It has remarkably low output impedance (which I measured with my multimeter). Even ipods and iphones etc have higher. High output impedance can affect low impedance headphones (like most consumer buds/in-ears) and cause loss of low bass, boomy boost at 80Hz, and also high notes issues. Plus flabby bass on traditional headphones (ie, not balanced armature). So no issues there. This suggests a standardised chipset which means that on most levels the audio should be hifi. Obviously the amplifier section isn't going to be powerful on such a tiny device. So I wouldn't use it on headphones that a low in sensitivity or need a lot of voltage. Nevertheless, it does seems to cope alright at good volume with my 32 ohm, not-so-sensitive, full-sized headphones, though I may be hearing some distortion. I'm not hearing any noise, but there is bound to be some on sensitive headphones due to the cramped design. However I don't dare try out my more sensitive headphones (see below). Negatives: I reckon it may be compressing the audio, probably due to a cut-corners amp stage. I can't say for sure, though, but piping the music through my usual equipment seems to gain depth and richness, but that's subjective. Certainly, it's more than good enough for the average listener. Plugging in and out headphones gives a sharp crackle-pop. Much too loud even on my full sized. I wouldn't use these with balanced armatures as you might blow your ear drums. Standard headphones should be fine, but best to try with them not in your ears. This is probably the price for the low output impedance and a cheap design. Putting a decent resistor on would protect from this but raise the output impedance. I don't know that I can recommend them due to this issue. But if not using very sensitive headphones you should be allright.

Simple and Effective. Worked straight away.
Overview: I bought this to work with the Neewer NW-700 . I bought that a few days ago and had it plugged into a 2009 iMac. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t pick up decent sound volume from the microphone when it was plugged into the headphone jack or into the line in jack. • The description details how its driverless requiring no extra software. • It was also listed as often bought with the NW-700. • Finally it lists as working with Mac so I thought I would take a punt and try it. Disclaimer: I don’t know what I’m doing, I really don’t! Hopefully if you don’t know what you’re doing either, then this review helps! Packaging: As in the pictures, a very simple package with some instructions, a thick foam mount to hold the adapter in and thats about it. First Impressions: There really isn't much to it. It seems well made, with no obvious marks, scratches or weaknesses. Overall it looks nicely designed and well thought out with the different colours providing clear indication of what each port is. Use: The instructions cover it but it really is simple, plug in and then attach either microphone, headphones or both into their respective ports. It was picked up by the Mac instantly and since plugging it in, I have a decent sound input and the NW-700 works brilliant. The last photo shows it appearing as a USB audio device. I still sound like an idiot though unforetunately! Longevity: Its a USB plug, and its going to be left in for a while. It shouldn't fail and I'd be quite annoyed if it did. However, if it does fail in a short period then it also has the option to register for a 2 year warranty. I've done this just to make sure. If it does fail, as always I will update this review. Cheers,

Worked fine in Acer Aspire 5551.

Externe Soundkarte ohne Probleme
Klein und gut. Habe durch Update auf Win11 meinen Sound verloren. Schnelle Lieferung.
