Lovely story

Elmer is a childhood classic of mine, so I had to get it for my daughter’s collection. She’s only 1, so for now she enjoys looking at the bright, colorful illustrations—but I know she’ll love reading the story as she grows. A timeless, cheerful book that’s perfect for little ones and will remain a favorite for years to come.

One of our favourite books. The story is so sweet. The board pages survived my baby trying to turn himself. The gold lettering scratches easily but that's not a problem.

The text, which includes speech, is clear throughout; the accompanying illustrations offering lots to talk about, including colours and the various other creatures that are dotted around. A double-page spread with rather LARGE text is always a bit of a surprise for those not familiar with the story! The CD, which is clearly read, is in a plastic-type wallet attached via a glue spot on the inside front cover.
