What size cable do you need to connect to the power supply

This is standard 13amp socket and should be connected from the mains supply by a 2.5mm 3 core cable. It must be earthed.

How many time slots can be programmed in? I am looking to set two time periods during each day. Thanks

The pins can be set at 15 minute intervals do you can have multiple events . For example you could set a time period of 14:00 to 14:45then another 18:00 to 18:30. You have to have one or two pins between each event so the mechanism does not confuse itself. There would be no problem with the scenario you describe. I have three of these units and they are very good quality and reliable . The price is also very competitive Hope this helps .

Can this be turned off manually.

Yes, you have three options on the clock, auto - manual - off. You can also use it as a power sourceFor garden electrical equipment. Fully weatherproof. Excellent product met my requirement perfectly.

Does the timer rotation stick because of outside dampness?

My timer rotation does no stick BUT it does not like turning on at certain times ...I overcame this by changing the time and it now works .
