Must buy if you have a intel CPU
If you have a intel CPU this is a must very cheep for peace of mind because the IHS could bend over time from getting very hot. Very easy to install takes 2 min at most I also saw that my temps are a little bit cooler when using this.

Needed Fix
Do yourself a favor and GET THIS NOW. I recently installed a 14700k and was wondering why my temperatures would randomly spike going from 35c to 60c+ while idling. Apparently the new intel chips like to keep busy and power spike but this just seemed wrong. My cpu fans and my case fans would ramp up along with the temps and it was unbearable hearing a jet engine go off every 20 seconds, I ended up fan tuning but had to keep them constantly running high. Watch a video if you're not convinced, you can visually see the missing spots where contact isn't made with the stock bracket. Not only did this new one stop my temperature spikes but it also dropped them a few degrees and now idles at 32c with a fan cooler.

It does what it says - a better processor hold-down.
I never liked the original hold-down. It's easy to use, but I'm an engineer and I just don't like the way the standard hardware fits. I also had one core always a little warm. I wouldn't have changed anything, but I wanted to replace the slightly noisy RGB fans on my 360mm AIO cooler with BeQuiet 3s, so since I was going to be dragging the cooler out I decided to install this too. No problems removing the old one, and just a tiny bit of extra care needed in fitting this. It is very precisely the right size, so you need to be sure that it is sat down properly. At first it seemed right, but a slight shift and it dropped down the final mm and locked in place. The original screws secure it without any feeling of crushing, but when done the processor has no movement anywhere. After re-attaching the cooler the system fired right up. With the change of fans and use of a fan controller the processor is running cooler and I don't have anything getting close to throttling. This is only a minor part of the solution, but better safe than sorry. Worth the 'investment'.

Highly-recommended... Excellent modification for my i9-14900
This thing definitely improves upon the standard retention bracket. Dropped my temperatures by a few Celsius just by itself. I wasn't sure about all the hype, but I'm a firm believer now. The 14th gen i9 chips get so hot that any improvement in temps is more than welcome. Plus, the additional benefit of keeping that CPU from bending or warping over time, as this bracket clamps down evenly around the chip. I decided to opt for a Noctua NH-D15 dual-tower, dual-fan setup on top of this thermalright plate and I've got temps to manageable levels without much concern that I'm topping out my temps and throttling the cpu. The included thermal paste is a bonus. It spreads well and performs well. I ordered my go-to Arctic MX-4 intending to use it, but the thermalright paste is proving to be very efficient. I'll be using these mods for all future builds. Beware, just do not tighten with too much force. I use 2 fingers on the included hex key / allen wrench and apply just enough force to secure the plate to the board, then I back it off by 1/8th of a turn. Plenty of YouTube vids covering the installation and performance of these brackets, so go ahead and get familiarized with the product before purchase and installation. This gets my highest 5/5 star recommendation.

Must have for any LGA1700 Users!
This thermal plate is a very much needed solution for Intel's cooling issues with the lga1700 cpu brackets causing uneven pressure on the cpu. The installation might seem scary to some but you can safely leave your CPU in while removing the intel bracket which only takes 4 screws and they even include the correct screwdriver for it. Definitely worth it since this 8 dollar upgrade can really make a difference for the contact between the cpu and cooler and also prevents potential bending that the original lga1700 bracket could cause. The bracket Has looks cool but obviously wont be visible once a cooler is on. When i installed the bracket it was firmly in place no wiggle room. This also comes with a tube of thermal paste but im not sure how it holds up to other thermal pastes. Overall great value!

Calidad, precio y funcionalidad, 5 grados menos garantizado.

It fits good
I don't know if it changes temps or no, first time i use bracket and cpu air cooler but happy overall. I used it with their cpu air cooler assassins king 120 SE ARGB for 12400F because intel cooler was not cooling and loud and gaming temps above 70C and sometimes reaching almost 80C with airflow case and idle 60s C Also used the thermal paste TF7 but going to change it in future, my temps idle are like 42-47C and when playing Warzone 2 its like 65-70ish C. I know 12400F doesn't need aftermarket cpu coolers but i just wanted to be silent and cooler. Who knows? Might upgrade in future and use same cpu cooler.

Easy Installation
Used it on a Z790 Asus mobo. Installation was easy. Not sure if there was a difference in temps as I installed this right away on a new mobo. Have a Intel 14700KF with Lian Li Galahad 360. Temps never cross 75 C so far even on extreme gaming. Have to mention the AIO as well plays a major role in this. The concern is since the intel processors are not square anymore the rectangular socket does not press the chip evenly. Hence these come in place. Worth spending a extra few buks if it can save your processor.
