Works well
Has kept the birds away since we relaid our lawn

Works for a little while
The media could not be loaded. It's an OK product, the ones in the tree seem to work better but on the newly seeded lawn it's a bit useless. It is not self adhesive so stuck mine on with waterproof tape. There is plenty on the roll. It looks pretty and makes a nice noise.

Good value
Bought these to keep birds off lawns when I put grass seed down. They work fairly well. Used to get lots of birds in my garden. There are only 2 fat pigeons that keep trying their luck. I would buy again.

This works for us!
Our neighbour feeds the pigeons every morning and they then fly over into our garden where they leave their droppings all over our garden furniture and terrace and also perch on our chimney and TV aerial where they make a lot of noise and also leave droppings. We've explained the problem to her politely several times but we are just met with unpleasant replies and she continues to put food out especially for them - she has pigeon proof feeders for other birds which is nice because we love the other birds!! In desperation we have bought several 5m collapsible fibre glass flag poles from Amazon and tied lengths of this tape down them and placed them strategically in the garden. We also used 3 poles inside each other (like Russian dolls) to get extra height and strength and fixed this near the chimney. After all this work and expense we are thrilled to be able to say this works well and now we hardly ever see pigeons in our garden or on the roof!! The only time the pigeons ignore the tape is when it's wet and doesn't 'flap' but it soon dries out and unfurls itself from the poles so we can live with this!!. At these times shaking a bit of tape at them does the trick!! As the poles are high the tape is above our eye level when we're in the garden so it isn't annoying for us. This tape is thicker and much more robust and shiny than another brand we tried.Excellent product!!

Doesn't deter pigeons or magpies; probably a nice parcel tape though.
I hung some of this up yesterday afternoon. I sat outside this morning, admiring the lack of bird poo on the paving and wondering if this really was doing the job. Sadly not, five minutes later I spotted a pigeon sitting directly below some of waving tape. Ironically, my slight movements, made in an attempt to take a photo of this novelty, scared the pigeon off. Only to replaced in short order by a magpie sitting above the tape. It's nice robust tape though, but not good for its intended purpose in my experience.

I cannot recommend enough!
I have struggled with pigeons nesting on my solar panels and tried many things to get rid of them but this is the simplest and most effective.Forget the ultrasonic scarers and spikes; this is your answer. I only bought because a friend recommended and was sceptical. I thought I'd try it before committing to getting the big ladder out again so duct taped two 1m lengths to bits I could reach out of the window and just that has been enough to move the birds along and let me sleep again. One piece has blown away but at this price I don't care; if I went up and secured it properly that wouldn't happen. It is a bit noisey as it clatters about on the roof in high winds but the effect on the birds is worth that and easily ignored. It'll move about well in very light winds and is quite sturdy material so should last. Not that that's a concern for the price but if you have it in inaccessible places as I will you would want that.I don't generally directly recommend products but will make an exception - if you want rid of birds, buy this!

seemed to scare off all birds
This did work, but found it fiddly to attach to something in my garden. We have a pigeon problem, including that 2-3 of them will land on a corner of the guttering on my conservatory and have broken it. They also make an awful mess. After attaching two or three pieces (it is non adhesive) this ribbon did seem to work, but also scared off all birds from my garden and scared my little dogs. It also flapped in the wind making a tinny noise and kept my husband awake. So, unfortunately, have to find a different solution to the pigeon problem. Recently though, my small dogs have decided they have had enough of the pigeons and bark at them, which works most of the time to scare off the pigeons (although they return when dogs inside).

Just didn't work
We bought this tape as we had been recommended it by someone who swears by it. They used it in long strips to stop pigeons/birds getting on to an enclosed decking area. I think it worked because the birds did not want to fly through the strips of tape. But for us it just did not work. We needed it to stop pigeons pooing all over the kids trampoline! First of all I hung 120cm strips of tape (hanging down) all round the top bars of the trampoline. This did nothing. So I halved all the strips so there were now twice as many. Still did nothing. I then got more long strips to combine with the short ones. Then I folded long strips up (like you might make a fan with napkins)so they could be a bit like spikes and then lay them all over the tops of the trampoline bars - thinking ha ha the pigeons will never land on there now. So wrong. They just sat there right on the tape. When it was really quite windy the tape would flap away and the spikey tape on the top would move up and down and this was the only time that the pigeons stayed away.I'm hoping that next year when all the birds come back after winter they decide to just avoid our house!!
