Would it work on metal to metal ??

I used mine to seal around shower door and has done job well but as it is silicone I could not imagine it being suitable for metal to metal but could be wrong.

Will it seal a small crack in a garden water feature

I am not sure, but it did seal leaks in the roof of my conservatory.

What is the curing time?

The tube states 24-48 hours, although I've found that "by the next morning" it's cured (enough for me to continue my DIY job, anyway). Tip: don't apply too thickly otherwise it will take longer to cure (hence the "up to" 48 hours, I guess).

Does anyone know what ingredient this uses to cure? Is it acetic acid?

It does smell a bit like that. But don't all silicon sealants do that as they cure? It soon dissipates, once cured.
