Sika SikaSeal General Purpose Silicone Sealant, Waterproof, Clear, 260ml

I used the clear Everbuild silicone sealant as part of my outdoor lighting project, shown in the photos. The first image shows the tube in use, and the second shows the finished seal around a wall light on a bumpy rendered surface.The sealant handled very well — smooth, steady flow and easy to control using the plunger gun you can see in the picture. It applied cleanly and bonded well to both the render and the light fitting. I made sure to work it into the small gaps underneath the fitting so it’s fully waterproof, and it’s sealed neatly all the way around.It dried quite quickly, with only a faint vinegar-type smell at first and no residue once cured. Overall, it’s very good value for what it is and appears perfectly suitable for exterior use. I bought this while building my shed to seal a few gaps and it worked really well.It was very easy to apply and gave me a good seal without any hassle. I actually bought more than I ended up needing for the job, but I’m pleased I did because it’s useful stuff to have around and I’m sure I’ll find plenty of other jobs for the remaining tubes.Simple to use, works well and definitely something I’d buy again.

I needed outdoor silicone to adhere a wood strip to the top of my gate. So far, after 12 days with rain, this seems fine. It is cheap and easy to apply.
