Life saver - Can test at home/so that I know when I need to go to the doctors.
I bought this product as a test to take at home. So that I knew when I needed a doctors appointment to get antibiotics. As I get UTIs regularly and also suffer with interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome that flares up when stressed or at different times during my monthly cycle. So having this urine test at home tells me if I actually have a UTI or if its interstitial cystitis. I do the test at home and log the results to an app called urinox and this app tells you via the results whether you have a UTI. The app also connects and sends the results to your GP practice if you wish/ does work without sending the results to your GP. However you can then keep track of all your results on the app. Which is great if you have to do this regularly or you get UTIs regularly. It has also meant that as I could test myself at home. I only went to the doctors when I really needed to go. Would recommend this and the urinox app which you can get from the play store for samsung/android and Iphone devices for free. The app has no subscription linked to its service and is free to use as well as download. Please note this is just from my personal experience with this issue. I have not been paid to write or form this review.I just thought from personal experience with this issue that I would add about the urinox app as I have found it to be incredibly helpful as it works with this urine tests/ and other urine analysis the 8/10/12 parameters and has helped me to know the difference between when I have a proper UTI and when its an iterstitial cystitis flare and hence only go to the doctors/speak to the doctor when I really need to go and its necessary say to get antibiotics. Also as the results can be sent to the GP surgery and hence a doctor I can usually sort this over a telephone consultation rather than taking up a face to face appointments. but it may be different for you. Always get advice through your GP practice first. The only downside to these stips is after a few months the colour on the test strips gets lighter. So I buy less strips in the bottle and buy more frequently that way it keeps the test strips as accurate as possible.I only keep the test strips even though they are new and unused for about 3 months , then I rebuy as I find they stop working or as noted above the colour is much much fainter. However I use these on a weekly basis however if you dont use the strips as much as the air can interfere with the results you may find your test strips last much much much longer.

Life saviour, due to frequent UTI’s and a life threatening chronic illness…
I’m prone to get quite bad UTI’s that used to always end me up in my local A&E due to a chronic illness ‘Adrenal Insufficiency’I’d have to wait ages for a GP appointment by that time it was usually too serious, I got sepsis once so I can’t mess around if I think I have one. These are totally accurate and my GP will accept my results from doing them at home and issues Anti-Biotics should it show up.Because the pack is such good value I don’t mind wasting them so if I’m not feeling great I can have peace of mind that it’s not that!I’ve recommended them to friends as feel confident in the brand, having seen the exact same ones in my doctors office.I’ve seen other companies charge a fortune for one test and some app, which seems criminal.Thank you for making your product available and helping keep hospital beds free for those more in need!

Straightforward test strips
These are the type of strips that doctors and nurses may use to test urine for a range of conditions. Personally I use similar in my work as a nurse so no trouble with these. I found the instructions and interpretation of results informative but may not mean so much to the lay person. The most obvious use for them is to check for a urine infection, all of the required tests are present for this. It will also detect glucose in the urine which may indicate diabetes but blood tests are more reliable for this. It will also pick up liver metabolites which may indicate a problem there but definitely would need to be followed up by blood testing to confirm.I know these are usually quite expensive to buy from the chemist and most suppliers so found the price of these very competitive, cheap in fact. The use buy date was a little under a year so it is unlikely I will manage to use all of them by this time. It does work out much cheaper to buy the large size than any of the smaller packs, some of which are astonishingly expensive. I will be using these to just check that all is well with myself, as I expect negative results usually and also, if they want, members of my family also. They would however be quite suitable for use in a health care setting.

UTI testing
For any of you who have elderly parents who frequently suffer with Urinary tract infections, these are a must. Its hard enough getting an elderly person to drink water, so best to be armed with this item.A simple dip of one of the test trips will show what if any signs there are of infection in the urine. You can then inform the doctor of this as infections tend to make the individual confused which can be another sign of infection. The strips to have to be used within a given period if I remember from what a health worker told me but if family or friends are having regular infections these can help give you a good idea of needing to contact your doctor. There is the possibility that even with using the test dips, the doctor will require a sample of uring to be absolutely sure so you have to know that using thses test trips alone may not be enough to decide whether there is indeed infection or not. That would come down to the doctor.

Great Item: but the text guidelines are tiny font that needs an electron microscopy to read
The test stips and the packing is good. It works, accurately I think. Only one complaint... Do you know how I read the instruction leaflet? I took a picture of it with iPhone, then had to zoom the photo to the maximum iPhone allows you, to be able to read. The font letters are so minuscule in the text that an electron microscope will be needed to make the words visible to a mortal human eye.Again, when you get the strip suitably dipped in urine, take a photo with your iphone, of the strip I mean, just in case you get distracted. Best to do that yourself rather than asking your wife or husband to help. You might end up losing an hour... filling your iPhone photo library with filth. Anyways, you can keep a library of photos for each date and each strip, making later comparisons of any change from keto diet, etc, quite easy to do. Thanks for reading.
