Review: The WHOLE set of films, plus bonus stuff - My grandson is reading bits of the Harry Potter books in school, my son is reading them to him at night and Santa gave him a gorgeous Almanac for Christmas, so it was getting obvious that we had to do something. I like fantasy stuff too, so I used my birthday desertcart voucher and we're slowly working through the films as the books are read. I do know that some of the films are very scarey....but, in my family, we discuss the special effects and how they might have been done, who the actors are - AMAZING casts and they're all having such a great time - what they're doing with the make up, so he's in no doubt that the films are a performance and not reality. If anyone who does effects is reading this, we can't work out how the Knight bus can move and pass between two moving buses going the other way. We'd love to know how you did this. They're fantastic films and anyone who is swithering, buy them. If you are showing them to kids as a DVD, they can always be stopped and the scarey part discussed or passed by, so...maybe just buy them? I don't know....but I'm glad I bought them. They are great!
