Is the watch manufactured and assembled in Switzerland? Any association with China?

First and foremost, Tissot, Burberry, Armani and Michael Kors watches are a mass produced mid range watch, and are not just sold exclusively in Europe in limited numbers. Tissot Watches are sold in watch shops in every single country throughout the world. Some sellers source from Europe, Some from Asia, some from America. Tissot watches are mass produced in the their millions and are identical, no matter the country in which they are sold in. Just because they are “MADE IN SWITZERLAND” doesn’t mean that they are only sold exclusively in Switzerland. In fact, most Swiss watches nowadays are not even made in Switzerland. To qualify for the title “SWISS MADE” only requires the case to be sealed in Switzerland and a percentage of the labour costs to be there. Regardless of this the watches then get distributed to shops and outlets worldwide for sale. Generally, resellers get better discounts from Asia. The stores and outlets in the Asian market generally give more favourable discounts due to more lenient pricing regulations.

Would this be an Original Tissot? As I see some mixed reviews here.

Faulty Watch

Very nice watch. Unfortunately it was faulty. The chronograph hand (10 seconds one) was spinning all over the place very fast when trying to reset it, while the 60 seconds one could not be stopped. The main second hand was also moving erratically when trying to reset the chronograph. After trying to reset the watch for about 10 min, it stopped working entirely. I returned it the next day to get a refund.

Great watch...just not from Tissot

The watch arrived on time and worked very well until about 2 years after the purchase when the battery ran out. I sent it to Tissot to have the battery replaced and they said that it was not an original Tissot watch.I was disappointed to discover that I paid the price of an original watch although the watch was not an original Tissot. Nowhere was this stated on the seller's page.

A nice watch cushion.

A lovely looking box. (I’m sure the watch is great too!) Unfortunately when it turned up this morning there was no watch to be found! Sad that somebody had stolen the final one in stock. Amazon were quick to get on with the refund though.
