Dormant in the Hands of an Imbecile
I don't like ball points, and am a gammy left-hander, so have given up for now with fountain pens. My wife bought me a lovely Cross pen but the oils from my hands (natural secretions, that is - I'm not into anything peculiar, and I'm not a mechanic or masseuse) seemed to transfer to the page and meant that the ball point refill (or is it roller ball? I have really no idea of the difference but I'll probably go and Google it in a minute) that was in the pen to begin with kept giving patchy performance, which made a lovely pen not worth bothering with. I then searched for other refills and bought the Medium (Medium width, that is - I'm despise spiritualism) felt refill. Which was a great improvement, but felt (no pun) a bit childishly thick on the page. So I was chuffed to find the fine option, and chuffed-er to find that it performed beautifully well. Fine lines it leaves on the page and no smudging, blurring, no gaps or streaks. A delightful refill indeed. I don't know how long it will last; it's pretty streamlined, so I can't imagine it holds a great deal, but I am very pleased with this item. SO now I can use this lovely pen my wife bought me. BUT THE BIG PROBLEM is that I don't want to lose it or have it stolen (she even had it engraved with my name) SO, I bought a lovely leather case for it (Aquascutum, dontcha know! (only about £3 on the Further Reduced rack in TK Maxxxxx)) so now, I can hardly ever be bothered to got to the bother of digging it out and taking it out of the case to use it. Oh well. Another quality item lies dormant in the life of an imbecile.

Breathed new life into an old friend
Many years ago I was kindly gifted a beautiful Cross Century II rollerball pen (like this: https://amzn.to/32piaBG) which I loved (though not quite as much as its matching fountain pen). Then pen had been languishing in a pen pot for many years, simply because I had failed to track down the refills. But I recently decided to make the effort. Different reviews and sites seemed to be of different opinions about which was the correct refill for my pen, but I'm pleased to report that this one worked fine as, I presume, will the equivalent black ones (https://amzn.to/2Qqt3NV). I dock a star for price because for the cost of the refill I could have brought a pack of decent rollerball pens. However, for the joy of a beautiful writing implement, Cross continue to get my trade...

Writes like a genuine Cross refill but it says made in ...
Writes like a genuine Cross refill but it says made in China which I haven't seen on my previous refills. I'm happy with refill so far as not a lot of shops stock it and I found it on Amazon luckily. Be sure to order the correct one by looking the previous refill's reference number. I ordered the standard refill first instead of the slim refill and it did not fit my Cross Click.

Rubbish Refill
Amazon and Cross Pen, I am cross! I was in touch only a month ago about dud black refills that last 3 minutes of writing. I ordered 3 more through Amazon and I opened the first packet today. I was in a business meeting and the refill ink ran out within 3 minutes of note taking. This has happened now on three purchase occasions. I used a blue refills 8910-2 that my husband ordered last month and it worked OK and lasted a reasonable time . There is something totally defective with the black refills. I love the pen but and writing in black. What am I to do? Please contact me about this, I have been sent the The Cross Pen 8910-1 black refill on 4 purhcase occasions now and each time the refill is defective. The refill runs out of black ink within 3 minutes of note taking. Amazon have been fair about this and refunded me. It happened again today in a business meeting. ~Very frustrating. I am getting in touch with Cross Pens as I love the Classic Rolling ball pen and they have a good reputation. These cant be genuine refills Mo

This is the most similar to a fountain pen that I have used
My Cross fountain pen was stolen, I don't even want to get into what I think of the thieves. The Cross nib was the smoothest I had ever used, I have bought a new one but it scratches like a school pen. This pourous point gives you fountain pen quality with easy interchangability. It's first class.

A mi me encanta.
