Miracle-Gro Water Soluble Lawn Food 2kg

The product really makes the lawn greener. My husband has only used it the once, but you can see the difference. This product does not kill weeds, but the effect on grass quality is much healthier. The picture that I took is off after the first feed, my husband is planning on doing two more feeds over the coming weeks so I will upload more as we go so you guys can see the difference. I recently had a new lawn laid using turf. This product can be used on the lawn the next day, after the first heavy watering the day it was laid. Being new turf it has to have a heavy watering every day for the first week or two, then a heavy watering every couple of days for a week or two, Within 5 days the lawn had grown considerably and was a deep bright green, lush, verdant and thick. We waited 10 days before its first cut when it had grown to 70mm long and we had to cut it twice a week to get it down to 40mm high, it was growing so fast. About three and a half weeks after treating the lawn looked like it needed another feed. No doubt the regular watering had leached the food down below the still shallow roots. I used the miracle grow hose end applicator and it is difficult to know how much one has used. One fill should have been enough for four treatments of my small lawn but the water started to clear on the second application which would suggest I had used too much, but it did it no harm. Wonderful for a quick boost. I think that perhaps the effect would last a bit longer on a more established lawn. A few people have given poor reviews of this and other lawn foods. Perhaps they were applying it to a dormant or dead lawn. I have posted two photos, one of the turf just after laying and the second 7 days later.

So far so good. I only used two sachets which may not have been quite enough for the size lawn. Nevertheless, day 3 and 4 and the grass is a darker healthier looking green, and responding well. I'm going to drop the other two sachets over the lawn to guarantee best results and even spread. Can't comment yet on how good this is at protecting the lawn as I used too late this summer after weeks of hot weather and no rain, but would note as others have mentioned, it hasn't done much for dried out lawn, just improves what is already healthy. So far pleased with results, and can see me sticking with this. I used the miracle gro feeder which made it easy! UPDATE - This stuff is brilliant and will now become my fertiliser of choice for the future. Grass has stayed a nice healthy looking green for several weeks now with little extra watering or rain. Don't hesitate....buy it!

Great does the job

I've been using this lawn food for about 18 months now and I find it really good. I use the feeder with the hose to feed it as it is easier. I inherited a weedy and moss covered lawn but don't want to put lawn weed killer on as I will have nothing left. Over 18 months I have cut regularly and very lightly raked in some really mossy areas to get some moss out and fed once a month with miracle gro. The grass is so much better with just that tlc. The moss is gradually disappearing and it is much less spongy to walk on. I don't need a bowling lawn just a lush grass that looks nice. Helping the grass out with some feed is helping the grass to crowd out the unwanted weeds and moss. I will definitely keep using and definitely recommend for anyone whos lawn needs a little help Update - after so much sun and little rain I noticed that my lawn took longer to turn brown than neighbours. I think it was the strength from this feed. Will update when recovered. Update 2. Rain has started again so have started feeding again and it's looking good. Going to feed every two weeks until mid september now.

Used a miracle- gro feeder to apply this product and have been quite disappointed with the results,wes expecting the lawn to be a bit greener than it is. not the same results as miracle-gro feed and weed applied with a spreader.
