Getting rich isn't going to be easy
The easy part has been done. You've cracked the safe, evaded the security, made it back to the hideout. Now the hard work - splitting the loot... You sit there, all of you, surrounding the money, the diamonds, the art. Tension is thick in the air, you know that one of your partners might actually want to eliminate you, so that their share gets bigger. You know this, because you are thinking exactly the same thing... So, looking carefully at everyone, you make a decision: are you going to take a shot, or are you going to shoot a blank? Like everyone else, you've only got three bullets, and five blanks, so you have to choose wisely. You can only use a bullet or a blank once, so your pool of choices gets smaller as the "game" progresses. Choose carefully, and keep your intentions hidden from everyone. Keep them guessing, right? The Godfather counts to three - this is it! Everyone points their gun at someone, but no one knows whether they will also have a gun pointing at them - or if any gun has a bullet or blank. Look closely at their faces - are they looking nervous? The Godfather counts to three again - this time, everyone has the choice of lying down. This will allow them to dodge a shot, but it also means they won't be able to claim any of the loot in this round. Fortune only favours the bold, and since you only have one gun pointing at you, you decide to stay standing... the loots looks tempting, and you decide its worth the risk... and besides, he wouldn't really shoot you, would he? After all, you just did a job together... right?? Everyone who is still standing reveals their cards. Did you shoot anyone? Were you shot by anyone? Anyone shot gets wounded (one wound, and you are out of the round. Three wounds in total and you are out of the entire game!), and can't claim any loot. If you survived getting shot, you go round in a circle, and take it in turns to claim the spoils. After eight rounds (and if you survive), who ever has the most cash, diamonds and art will be the winner. Previous relationships all get thrown out of the window, all that matters is the loot. With only three bullets, you have to be careful, and rely on your fellow crook. Unless, of course, they are aiming their gun at you... Decide when to stay in a round, and when to duck out.. Decide when to take the loot, and when to become the Godfather... Decide when to shoot and when to bluff.... Great game for all the family (you can use your fingers to point, if anyone didn't want to use the guns), and the scoring has enough depth to make it interesting (cash is straightforward, art accumulates more value, the more you have, and the diamonds can result in a massive bonus if you have more than the other players). It's fun, it's quick, it's simple. Recommended.

A great party game
I had been looking for a copy of Cash n Guns for the past year before they finally re-released it in this box recently. I'm glad to say that it was worth the wait and overall it's a fantastic package that you should definitely check out. Cash n Guns is essentially a bluffing game, pitting 4-8 players around the table in a classic Mexican-standoff. Everyone has a total of 8 cards that makes up the magazine in their pistol, 3 are "Bangs" (bullets) and 5 are "clicks" (nothing). Every round each player will choose which card to put into their gun and, after a count, point their pistol at someone around the table. Players will have an option to lay down their gun if they're being targeted and after another count, the cards will be resolved showing who got shot and who didn't. Any players that didn't get shot or lay down their guns get to share loot cards laid down on the middle of the table. Once this is done, you repeat the whole process for another 7 rounds. Getting shot 3 times over the course of the game will kill you and whoever has the most loot at the end of 8 rounds wins. The game is incredibly simple, both to teach and to play. It all becomes intuitive the moment you pick up your gun, making this a really great game for anyone, including people who aren't really into games. The player count of 4-8 makes this a great game for large groups, with the action getting increasingly chaotic and funny the more people you have. There is some strategy, but on the whole it's likely going to be a game that you don't mind too much whether you win or lose because it's fun to play. Occasionally you get a few grudges, but because of how fast and balanced the core game is, interaction with people rarely gets heated. Despite the premise of pointing guns at each other, the game is very lighthearted which is reflected in the artwork and presentation throughout. I've heard some criticism from people who own the first edition of the game that this box doesn't include as many rules or variants, which is a shame, but as a counter I've also heard that this version is a more streamlined version because of it. Personally I don't play with the individual character power rules, but I did like the sound of the hidden role variant that was included in the original. None of this is really a problem thought because the core game here is the same and very solid. My only point is that the game can sometimes end in a bit of an anti-climax, this is because after the final standoff, you'll all have to do some math and work out how much money you all have which isn't really that fun in itself. This is a tiny gripe though, because this is a really fun game that EVERYONE who's played it has loved. It's also not very expensive - I highly recommend.

Juego de estrategia y negociación. Perfecto para ver las dotes de "negociación" y tramperismo de tus amigos y familiares La versión anterior era más divertida a mi parecer pero sigue siendo un juego buenísimo.

Bought for my husband after he played it at a "man night" with my brother's and loved it. I wasn't sure it be my thing but I tried anyway. Was lots of fun! Not a big thinking game if you don't want it to be but you can definitely put thought into it if you want to- there is strategy here. With 4 players, paintings are king. And being the godfather is important. With 8 players, diamonds are king. Godfather, less important. Paintings still good, but less. Also bluffing or watching what people pick up and who you should aim at, etc..Totally different dynamic with more or less people. But fun for everyone. I like games that you can try at and do well or not and have the chance to still do good or at least float through. You all get a foam gun. Each round, you aim it at a player. You all draw your gun when the godfather of the round counts down from 3. (So you don't know who is shooting at who when you point.) You have 5 blank shots and 3 real bullet cards. You place one in front of you before you point. No one knows which you placed and if you suck at bluffing, you can shuffle them so you don't know either. The godfather can tell someone to point elsewhere (for example if someone is pointing at him/her) but can't dictate who to point at. It also dissuades from pointing at them in the first place sometimes which is useful. If you are shot 3 times, you are out. There are 8 rounds. If someone is collecting too much loot, you want to get them out so it doesn't count and they lose. Once everyone's guns are up, you decide if you want to back down or stay up if there are guns pointed at you. If you back down, you don't take any bullets, but you also don't get any portion of the loot which you need to win the game. But if you stay up and, when the bullet cards are flipped, they aren't just clicks and are actual bullets, you 1) don't get any loot and 2) take 1 or more hits against your 3 life. (There is one loot card that restores your life at some point in the game, but who knows if you will get it or it will be useful so don't count on it.) If you stay up and the guns aimed at you are clicks (or blanks), you get to take turns picking loot. There is 9 pieces of loot (Some money, some diamonds, some paintings, a godfather card, 1 health card at some point, and extra bullets..) and whoever is up and also didn't take a bullet takes turns starting with the godfather picking the piece of loot they want most until it runs out. Paintings have a sort of multiplying value where the more you get, the more they are worth up to a crazy amount of worth if you go after them. Diamonds have a $60,000 bonus for whoever collects the most cards (not the total sum worth) and if you tie, no one gets it. Each player gets a card at the beginning that gives them a special ability. Mine was each round, I could switch one of my cards (obviously a click) for one of my oppositions cards. I would pick whomever had used the least real bullets for a chance at picking a real bullet and swapping out my dud. There are lots of other abilities though. Anyway, really fun game. Simple to learn. Taught to some people who suck at games and instructions really easily and hardcore boardgamers who played to also had a blast. Was good for everyone. We played it in a group of 4 and then a couple rounds of groups of 8 at a different Christmas party. (I just watched on the latter two because I have a newborn.) I would highly recommend. I understand now why my husband was raving about it. Just wish we didn't need 4 people to play. But that is my only con. :)

Cash N Guns is hands-down one of our favorite board games to play with friends. It’s fast-paced, hilarious, and gets everyone involved right away. The bluffing, negotiation, and surprise moments make every round feel different. It’s easy to learn but still keeps things exciting, even after multiple plays. The game always leads to lots of laughs and playful trash talk, and it’s perfect for game nights when you want something interactive instead of overly strategic or complicated. If you’re looking for a fun, high-energy game that works great with a group of friends, this one is a must-have. We pull it out all the time and it never disappoints.
