Winter Car Kit

Great little set. Have left it in the boot just in case. Hi-viz is a good size that should fit most people. Shovel feels sturdy and strong. The torch NEEDS a battery and does not come in the set. Would be a good idea to put a pack of batteries in the bag and to check their dates every now and then as you do not want to find they are leaked or do not work when you need the torch. Comes in a small black zip up bag with a yellow AA on it so it is easy to see. Being in a bag keeps it all in one place and highly portable.

Fantastic kit. Thought I’d buy this as I’m a first time car owner and wanted to get a decent priced winter kit. It contains a hi viz vest, a torch, a collapsible shovel,similar to an entrenching tool and an emergency foil blanket. Great value for money. Very impressed.

Along with a well-stocked first aid kit, this is a must-have for a car emergency kit. The shovel is well made. When folded out it feels sturdy and strong. It's very similar to the one it replaces, which I have had for ten years and used many times in wintery conditions. I have great confidence that this will do the job every bit as well. The torch is bright and the light is not focused. It evenly lights up a wide area which I think will be very useful when needing to work by torchlight. Its useful range is probably up to 10 metres and won't be much good for trying to see anything more distant than that. It takes three AAA batteries and fits in a pocket easily. The foil blanket comes in its own pouch. Looks the same as others in my emergency kit and hopefully, I'll never need it, but these are an essential in a cold weather kit. The hi-vis vest is well-made and should fit most people. Another useful item to keep in the car. I cannot stress enough how important these are when you're stuck at the roadside in the dark, especially if you're in dark clothing. The bag the kit comes in is basic but feels reasonably strong. It fits nicely under either front seat in my car. Overall, I think it's worth the asking price considering the quality and utility of the items you get.

This is a great little bag, doesn't take up room in the boot area. You always have it incase of an emergency or an unnessary stop. Great price, easy to use.

So useful and sensible to have in the car. I bought two, one for my husband and one for my daughter.

With winter, and therefore dark nights fast approaching, I saw this on a lightning deal and grabbed it. It's one of those things that nobody needs 99% of the time, but if you happen to be in that 1% moment, then it could really matter and you'll be glad to have had it in the car. If I was to be critical of the pack, the batteries that come with the torch or not from high quality brand, and the shelf life of them only gives 25 months from my date of purchase. I also think a tow rope would have made a great addition too, however I suspect the price would therefore be raised, meaning potentially less cars having such a kit in so can understand why cost measures have been implemented here. The touch does come with a small plastic cover inside it though which stops the batteries from being drained prematurely. It's up to you whether you take this out now or leave in until you require it's usage. For what you get though, you can tell the overall quality is good. The shovel has a good weight to it and whilst it may not last many years of service, it will last you during a moment of crisis or two and beyond. It all fits into a nicely sized pack which won't get in the way in even the smallest of boots. Highly recommend.

Kit qui aurait pu être bien si je l'avais reçu complet. Mon kit ne contient que la pelle et le gilet jaune mais pas de trace de la lampe torche et de la couverture chauffante ... Déçue

Das Set ist absolut angemessen in Qualität und Verarbeitung. Der Klappspaten wird für den Schnee reichen und ggfs. mal den ein oder anderen Waldbesuch. An einer Seite ist sie gezackt und könnte in der Not eine Hilfe sein. Die Taschenlampe stinkt erwartungsgemäß nach China, jedoch macht sie ordentlich hell. Die Warnweste ist ein Standartmodell + angemessen verarbeitet. Insgesamt für diesen Preis echt top!
