When using a guillotine, do you get a crisp edge? Or would it be better to purchase pre-sized sheets?

A good guillotine will give you impeccable edges. Pre-cut paper is not always the size you want or need and there is much more flexibility with a guillotine. I have got a GBC ClassicCut (I have had it for at least 7 years) and I am delighted with its precision and efficiency. Sophie Wild

Will you still get the same great quality if using compatible inks or does the quality only come when using genuine Canon inks?

I don't mix my inks so can't really answer the specific question but if you are using a top-of-the-range paper it would seem to be spoiling things by using 'compatible' inks. You may think the results are good now but a lot of cheap inks fade noticeably over a period of a few years. I know Canon inks are expensive but there is a reason for the price and what price memories?

No, the paper was unmarked on both sides. [Which does make it slightly harder to ensure it goes in the correct way; you do have to be careful].
