I have to say, TP-Link have never ever let me down with anything, and again this applies to this 16-way (yes 16 channel) ethernet switch / adapter. It is so affordable too, and a great performer, and I can never understand why other makers want to charge perhaps 4 or 5 times more for a similar item, when this performs amazing, and even looks stylish too. The place where I work, is a bit of a shambles when it comes to ethernet adapters, going into more twin and three-way ethernet adapters, resulting in rj45 cables all over the place, and this 16 way adapter, has done away with all of that, just one neat box feeding up to 16 devices, and as I only need 11, still plenty of space for more. Thank you again to TP-Link as always - perfect.

I have just finished installing my 16 port switch and can say the hardest thing I had to do was to fit the rj45 connectors in the back. That meaning that it was so simple to use. After turning it on and leaving it 5 mins it configured itselfs and my home network was up and running across my house. I wasn't sure if this box would work because it was so cheap and seemed to easy but it works wonders. Love it so it gets 5 stars Great build and easy install.

Plug it in and go, Brilliant price. Ran out of ports on the router at work in the office, one cat6 into this, and add a few more computers in, ready to go in seconds, its a shame its not 10/100/1000 but for the office where we don't do any heavy network transferring at all its great

This is not a Gigabit switch. But I didn't need one. Reasonably compact, well-built and simple to use. Just plug all the Ethernet cables in - no need for crossover cables as with older switches - power on, and job done. That's all there is to it. I am very pleased with the performance but then again, we're not heavy gamers nor video on-demand fiends. Simple economical packaging, topped off with a 3 year warranty and an energy saving mode (70%), at around a third of the cost of most 16-port Gigabit switches. Very pleased and highly recommended.

I bought this switch for normal connections from router to media players. So far there have been no connection drop-outs or functional issues. It feels to the touch better quality than most other switches, but then again it’s pointless to hook up an expensive switch that out performs the hardware that is attached to it; because the hardware has its limitations. This is a very good product priced at a very reasonable price and does exactly what it is supposed to do and works well under heavy uploads and download times. Five stars for a very reasonable priced product and excellent Amazon services

Plug a. Play perfect

Great value and decent build quality. My fairly complex home network is now largely built around TP-Link equipment and I'm very happy with the switches I've bought. They perform well and run fairly cool, which as they're fanless suggests they have a low power consumption. I'm using their gigabit and 10/100 switches, powerline adapters and a WAP and have yet to have a problem.

I used to have an 8 port, but since putting the all-in-one fibre optic modem/router by the front door, the only PC ethernet cables are now plugged into this ... so I needed more than 8 ports. This 16 port seems to behave perfectly well. It's switched on permanently but is very cool. There is no fan so it seems not to generate much heat. It's a plastic case and that is fine.

This is only a 100mb/s switch. If you have a PC with a Gigabit network interface only, it will not connect to the network through this switch. Also, your internet speed will only go to 100mbs even if your router and ISP is higher than that. Appears to be a nice switch but it is what it is for the money. Network speed is drastically reduced and throttled do to this limitation.
