I have a water-bed and I wanted a simple way to connect a hose to one of the bathroom taps, for topping up the bed from time to time.I have an old adaptor with a frame that fits over the tap like this one does, but it has a threaded rod that screws down to push on the top of the tap-spout (like a cider-press). It is only a small diameter and if the tap spout is not flat, it was difficult to get it mounted firmly and without leaking. It has a soft-rubber seal that mates up against the water outlet on the underside of the tap, and over time this has become cut and distorted, and does not seal well.This new adaptor has been excellent. I have been able to use it successfully on taps both with a flat top to the spout and a curved top.To install it, first back-out the lower section that has the hose quick connect, and lift the orange flap. Then slide the adaptor over your tap and screw the lower section in until the whit seal is lightly touching the water outlet on the lower side of the tap. Lower the orange flap. And screw the lower section in a little tighter.I tested it quickly by turning on the tap before attaching the hose. If it leaks at this stage, turn off the tap. Lift the orange flap, and tighten the lower section 1/8 of a turn more. At the same time look closely at how the white seal is aligned to the underside of the spout, make sure it is flush. Lower the flap.I have found this to be quick and simple to do. It has taken me much longer to write this than to actually do it and get a good seal.Note: I have seen some other reviews mention that they crushed their tap with this device. I can see how that could happen if you tighten the lower section against the tap to the maximum that you possible can, and THEN lower the flap - the leverage via the cam could be enough to crush the tap. It does NOT need to be tightened so much (mind you, some cheap modern taps are quite thin and fragile).If you are seeing leaks, look at the alignment and do not blindly tighten the adaptor. Once you have finished, and closed the tap, lift the flap and back off the lower section 1/4 to 1/2 a turn.I am very happy with this adaptor.Edit 19 April 2020: I have used this adaptor now almost 10 times. After the first two, I can now get this on a tap and aligned so that it does not leak, at the first attempt.Still very happy with it.

The item arrived the next day. It was not over-packaged. It works really well on my bathroom sink taps and kitchen mixer tap. These taps are regular size faucets with a bend at the end and rounded off square ends. This device does not fit my larger bath faucets.If you bend down and look carefully at the squarish tap outlet it has a round hole for the water to flow out of and this adaptor lets you line up that outlet hole with the input hole quite well. This is far more effective than a Hozelock Universal tap fitting. I have not ended up with water spurting everywhere and draping cloths over the connection to prevent a mini-flood.The lever mechanism will hopefully last well if you are careful not to overtighten the screw when you first fit the device and put strain on it. I had to fiddle about to rotate the fitting because the lever was obstructed by the large head of the tap. I set it so the lever faced toward me. The connection to the hose is a simple 'plug in' (tip - soften your hose end by dipping it in a cup of boiling water for a minute) and this perhaps could be improved with an additional screw-on part to stop the hose kinking at the connector from being raised over the edge of the sink.I am giving 5 stars because it just worked and took the stress out of worrying about splashing and flooding while I am 20 m away happily watering the garden.

I remember, years ago, buying something like this from a very big brand name for an outside hose. I'd fixed it to the tap and turn on and it was like my own indoor sprinkler.So I was a little bit hesitant when attaching this one. I also have levers on my taps so I was worried that it wouldn't fit. But it does and no personal indoor sprinkler. I remained dry, as did the kitchen, throughout the test. Thankfully it's very easy to attach to the tap, a small tightening of the bottom bit and it's perfect and ready to go. The lever on the tap wasn't in the way, perfect and ready to go.I bought it to connect a tabletop dishwasher to the tap, so I don't have to keep filling the dishwasher up, but I don't know what the name of the bit I need to connect this to the dishwasher water hose.Just a little update. I have received the part to click onto the bottom of this to be able to attach the water hose. Have fitted it all and have had on my tap for a week, no leaking at all. I have left this on my cold tap and just unclick the attachment to use the cold water tap. So I don't have to keep undoing it. Have had no issues at all. No leaking or spraying. It has stayed perfectly tight. Brilliant.

Make sure your tap is correct as it slips off my tap as i manoeuvre the top fitment so no use to me.

The actual item is OK,the problem is, they Don't fit all taps,when you have to send it back, you don't get a label or send it via the post office, you have to send it directly to the supplier, by evri and it costs to send it back, no adress and they dont reply to you,

We have old shaped lever arm taps in our bathroom and I needed to be able to run a hose from the hot tap into a portable bath tub in our walk in shower so I could have a soak. At different homes with a variety of different taps I had tried all the other "push on" types of tap adapters and they were all rubbish (either leaked water everywhere or just didn't stay on the tap).This Universal Tap Connector Adapter is a real game changer. Initially, I thought it was wobbly and leaking until I realised that the hexagonal part adjusts the fit. Once I'd tinkered with it briefly the hose attachment clicked in place and I had lovely hot water running into my pop up bath. I can no explain how good it felt to get in a have a proper soak in hot water (I've been here 9 years and seriously missed not being able to have a bath) - and this adapter made that possible.The only thing I'd point out is that you will need to get a female hose end connector to put on your hose so it can fit on this connector. You could try to push a hose on the outlet part of this connector but an extra connector fitting makes it easier (for me, at least) when controlling the water and hose.All in all - highly recommend this product. Highly recommended!

I am so happy with this product,it’s a game changer for how I water my garden.I no longer have to lift heavy watering cans or need an outside tap fitted.This fits my taps perfectly and doesn’t leak.
