It works!
As others below, I scarified my lawn and put down a large amount of grass seed. After this there were 4 pigeons and a few other birds eating the seed on and off every day. I chased them away a few times but they came back which was annoying. This product is essentially 3 yellow beachballs with the image of an eye on them and a bit of tinsel.. I didn’t have much expectation that they would do anything to be honest. I made an arm out of 2 bamboo canes and suspended each ball about 12 inches above the ground.. There have not been any birds at all on the lawn now for nearly a week so I can confirm the product is working and I’m pleased! My lawn is 25m x 25m.

Basically useless - other reviews *cannot* be honest
I ordered 4 of these to try and stop pigeons roosting on my balcony. Not knowing what would be effective or easier to install I put up netting on one side and spikes on the other. The netting couldn't be fit with no gaps so I put two of these balloons up in front of these as an extra deterrent and trialled both. They were dangling, moved in the wind slightly, had the stickers and streamers fitted as per the instructions. It worked for a day. These are useless. The paid-for reviews here *cannot* be honest. After a day, the pigeons were flying by, roosting and ignoring these balloons to get at the gaps in the netting. One even tried to land on the balloon itself. The side with the spikes seems to be working. These, however, have made no difference at all. They don't even have value as a slight physical barrier, let alone an actual visual deterrent.Avoid these and either use spikes where appropriate or a full-on gap-less net. These are useless based on what I've seen.I don't tend to bother with Amazon reviews but these were a waste of both my money and - to install - my time.

Scary Yellow Balls
I purchased along side a fake dead crow. We were simply fed up with early morning wake ups courtesy of a large crow population, and starlings who seemed hell-bent on getting into our eaves. We have installed two of these, which blow up to the size of a small beach ball, and also the fake dead crow. The balls blow up, literally like a beach ball, unsure how long they will last, I plan to check on them weekly. We are seven days with our yellow balls and dead crow and appear to have scared off the starlings, and crows. Just hope that this continues.PS: the dogs were initially scared of the yellow balls but have warmed to them now. We're rural dwellers with a large crow population. Our dead crow, coupled with some yellow balloon bird scarers is doing the job.... just hope it continues!

A fairly cheap way of scaring pigeons.
It would have been useful to know that a hand pump is most desirable for inflating the balloons as blowing them up by mouth is quite exhausting, especially if you are using all three at once. We have now invested in a cheap hand pump that does the job. We have noticed a significant reduction in pigeons landing in the garden although we still get smaller birds as before. We are happy about this as it is the pigeons that we wish to discourage.

Dodnt know if this would work but so far so good
Fed up of the pigeons nesting in the tall hedge right above my garden furniture we added one of these so far to that corner (6fy up across two hedges/trees) and so far.... the birds haven't decided to come back yet to that spot (they are the other end of garden which I don't mind). It does blow around of course a lot in the wind and sometimes we need to re-attach to our makeshift connection between the trees but this is like a beach ball style and we have a super windy garden.Great thing is there are 3 in the parcel so we can use for many years as we didn't need all three to deter the corner nesting. So yes, even though my husband thought I was crazy and the kids thought it was a ball/toy.... so far it is working to stop them pesky pigeons!

British pigeons laugh at them😂
These things may scare wimpy Chinese pigeons, but their British cousins are made of sterner stuff... They don't give a hoot. In fact I even saw one laughing at this ridiculous object. I'm going to re-purpose them as beach balls; which will probably last five minutes with my delinquent children and the build quality. Back to my old method of scaring the birds away - sending the missus out into the yard dressed as a ghost, and banging saucepans together.

Tree is pigeon nest free
The balloons are very noticeable but who cares if it stops the birds nesting? The balloons are bright and about the size of the round kids ones but more durable and haven’t deflated. Also have streamers which catch the light and deter the birds. So far they’ve survived the end of 2 hurricanes and kept the pigeons away. Previously we had 2 nests (no eggs) but as soon as we removed them they’d start rebuilding them.

Poor quality
Hi, very disappointed with one of the ballon’s the attachment for the string came off after we climbed onto the roof to place the balloon. We had planned to purchase many more if this deterred our vicious seagulls, not now.Dianne Noble
