As others below, I scarified my lawn and put down a large amount of grass seed.After this there were 4 pigeons and a few other birds eating the seed on and off every day. I chased them away a few times but they came back which was annoying. This product is essentially 3 yellow beachballs with the image of an eye on them and a bit of tinsel.. I didn’t have much expectation that they would do anything to be honest. I made an arm out of 2 bamboo canes and suspended each ball about 12 inches above the ground.. There have not been any birds at all on the lawn now for nearly a week so I can confirm the product is working and I’m pleased! My lawn is 25m x 25m.

Product is nothing different than a regular plastic balloon. String was short and fragile and kept breaking, balloon lasted longer but kept loosing air even after tightening the top to the max. Crows were not scared at all.

I've given these bird scarer's 4 stars as they do work to keep the pesky Blackbirds out of my flower beds after various failed attempts with different methods. However I've found they don't work on all bird species! Pigeons and Magpies seem to just ignore them. You need to make sure they are in clear sight and hanging just above the plants you want to protect.

I purchased along side a fake dead crow. We were simply fed up with early morning wake ups courtesy of a large crow population, and starlings who seemed hell-bent on getting into our eaves. We have installed two of these, which blow up to the size of a small beach ball, and also the fake dead crow. The balls blow up, literally like a beach ball, unsure how long they will last, I plan to check on them weekly. We are seven days with our yellow balls and dead crow and appear to have scared off the starlings, and crows. Just hope that this continues. PS: the dogs were initially scared of the yellow balls but have warmed to them now. We're rural dwellers with a large crow population. Our dead crow, coupled with some yellow balloon bird scarers is doing the job.... just hope it continues!

These look slightly weird (see photo) but they have definitely worked for a week so far. Last year I put down loads of lawn seed after the summer sun had left large bare patches and all I got was fat pigeons. This time I seeded the lawn exactly the same but with these balloons I have not seen a single pigeon on the lawn. It has only been a week so far, and realistically I only need them to work for a couple of weeks more. They were a bit hard to inflate, with a lot of blowing (the valves seem very small) but they have stayed up and in view of the results, well worth the effort. Excellent! Update after 4 more weeks; Pigeons still absent presumed hungry, grass now growing well and me pleased. I will deflate them and re-use if they store well, but I would also buy them again if they perish.

Honestly, the De-Bird Balloon Bird Repellent doesn’t help at all — the birds completely ignore it. Even after setting up all three balloons, they keep coming back. The only positive I can say is that kids might find the balloons fun to play with. For actually keeping birds away, this product is not effective.

Excellent product no pigeons go anywhere near it. I recommend this product for relief from roosting pigeon mess problems.

Not sure if they scare the birds off, but they definitely liven up the garden!

Son muy eficaces. Con muy poco viento ya se mueven. giran, con los ojos y las cintas colgantes refectantes. Según el tamaño del árbol puede ser conveniente poner más de uno, p.e. en un cerezo grande he puesto los tres que vienen. Solo los pongo cuando empieza a madurar el fruto pero supongo que si se ponen por más tiempo habrá que ir cambiandolos de sitio para que no se acostumbren a ellos.

Ein Buntspecht mochte unsere Wärmedämmung am Haus, War für seine Werbung ideal, weil bester Resonanzkörper. Doch die Aussendämmung bekam dadurch Löcher. Nun haben wir einen dieser Ballons aufgegangen und ob es das war oder was anderes, nur der Specht weiss es, aber er bleibt fern, lässt sich nicht mehr blicken. Auch die Ringeltauben und andere Vogelarten waren irritiert und hielten sich in sicherer Ferne. Öfters mal umhängen lohnt sicherlich.
