Amazing!
Saw mixed reviews on this saying it fell apart or it didn't work but I bought it anyway as a last minute resort. I got this product for my girlfriend and I for our anniversary and it worked amazing! Although the instructions say to leave the stone mix in the mould for 24 hours, we left ours in there for around 7 hours before taking it out and then left it overnight to dry furthermore. Excellent product!!!

Excellent detail, but timings off.
I used this product to make a model of my singular hand for an art project. I would say that overall it worked well but I did leave my hand in the moulding solution for about 15-20 minutes as I didnโt feel it hardening in the 3 minutes specified. As for the leaving the plaster in the mould, the timings worked well. However, the instructions said to leave it to dry for a week before painting or adding a finish to avoid mould. I did this and mould still formed on the plaster despite leaving it in a dry place for a week.

Easy to use with brilliant results
Easy to use and a brilliant result. Very pleased. Iโm going to paint in a bronze effect as plaster will soon discolour.

Waste of money
Bought this for my wee one last Christmas, but between one thing and another we just got the chance to try it tonight. Utter waste of money! The instructions advise that you need a mixing bowl, measuring cup and a spatula. What they don't tell you is how much water to measure into the cup! It just says "7 cups" of water are needed to make up the molding gel! I've got cups in the house so big that seven of them could fill a bath! We tried using a standard sized cup and, when we tried to make the molding gel, it quickly became apparent that too much water had been used; even after seven minutes (far longer than the instructions say it should take) the gel had not set. But by that point there was no going back and the money was down the drain, unlike the remainder of the mixture, which the instructions go to great lengths to mention you shouldn't put down your sink. Shame they didn't pay as much attention to the volume of water required!

I bought this for a fun project to do with my son and a keepsake that will be forever treasured by me. I was a little nervous buying it at first because I was worried about my 4-year old son staying still and having it not turn out okay. Well, he did great and it turned out great! I set the stage by covering the coffee table and putting his favorite show on so he could watch it while waiting. We then practiced a few times putting our hands in the bucket before mixing the materials. It was suggested to have a third person to help pour it and his grandma was over and she was helpful but I could have done it myself if necessary. The only part that he didn't like (and which is totally understandable) was when the mixture started to become firm around our hands. He needed some verbal cues to stay still while I gently held his forearm in place. Overall, he did awesome & I was impressed with how he did. So fast forward a day (almost to the minute as it turned out)...and we did the grand unveiling. I was definitely impressed! I mean, it got everything down to the creases on my knuckles! The only flaw in the final product was that the very tips of his index and ring finger didn't completely form but I think that was because of him moving a little as it became firm and not as much to the product malfunctioning. It also could have been from an air pocket that we didn't get out. Most importantly, the thumbs and pinky's came out perfectly. Now, it does suggest to set some mix to the side to fill in air bubbles and I would strongly suggest following that recommendation. I mixed some up afterwards and used a paint brush to go over a few spots and then wiped off the excess with a paper towel and it helped make it look a little nicer. I have to say that I was impressed with how it turned out and plan to make a wooden base from some of the wood we have so it has something to sit on. I also am glad I did it when he was a little older (4yrs) so that I felt like he was an actual willing participant. I also love it as a visual sign of father-son bond as he'll keep growing on me and, in the blink of an eye, will be old enough that he won't be holding Dad's hand anymore. The only (barely) negative thing about this (and I say it mostly in jest) was that the instructions referred only to the mom and child as participants in the activity. Now, I'm sure the majority of consumers are moms but should they really limit their target audience to just one population? It's a great gift/project for anyone with a kid or even for siblings to do together. I might even have him do it again but this time with his 7yr old sister.

This product is absolutely amazing. I bought this as a valentines gift for my husband, and he enjoyed our time spent. Follow the directions very carefully, and it will turn out amazing. This sculpture is still displayed in our home after a few years. It captures every little wrinkle and nail... if there are any bumps from air pockets, sand them off and you are good to go. I havenโt tried to paint it, but I am very happy with my purchase!!

This product is amazing and I highly recommend it! Very easy to use. Just make sure to read instructions carefully. My first try didn't work out the best because the toes and fingers had air bubbles, but that was my own fault. Make sure to tap and tilt the mold a lot when pouring the plaster to avoid air bubbles! Ird also very easy to use. I did this 3 separate times and baby was good all 3 times. He was even awake once but the gel hardens really well so it didn't matter. Such a cool way to keep a memory of your baby. Definitely worth the money! And if you put in a little more effort and money you can paint and turn it into a beautiful mold!
