do I mix in food for a cat and how much do I use

Yes mix it in with their food. Its slighty salty so most like it. Cant remember the dosage, as I use Lactoferrin for my cats herpes flare ups, and weepy eyes. It works better for my cat than lysine.

Can you take this indefinitely? Or is a break recommended?

I am not sure, best consult a qualified medical thingy, Pharmacist may help or someone with a natural herbalist background. I purchased it for a Cat who was poorly with runny eyes, generally an infection from snails or rodents that have eaten a snail. Worked 100% much improved condition, gave 1/2 teaspoon in food for 1 week now 1/4 tspn now and again as maintenance dose. With my own supplements I do take rest breaks, I believe it reinforces the power of introduction to rest occasionally. Hope this helps, Regards Russell.
