Brilliant. I bought this hoping to relieve my constant neck stress which is caused as a result of poor posture and working with computers all day long. I am also diabetic, which will become relevant shortly. it wasn't a decision I took lightly as I thought it was expensive compared to some other similar items here on Amazon. I am a firm believer however, that you get what you pay for and with the possibility of returning it if I wasn't satisfied sealed the deal. There are a few mixed reviews around about this massager that seem to sometimes contradict each other, I guess ultimately its down to personal preference. It does look a little unwieldy when you see it and picking it up it feels top heavy and awkward. However, these are just just aesthetics because as when you turn it on and place it on your skin, it becomes light and easy to maneuver. The handle is comfortable and you can easily hold it at the very end without feeling you are going to drop it. It even has a wrist strap for just that occasion. I find the first speed is comfortable for almost the whole body, but I am overweight so have a fairly good level of insulation. The high speed setting is good for the bigger muscle groups especially on the back and buttocks. If you are on the slim side you might not ever use the high speed. I hope the manufacturer can introduce a variable speed control to make it more usable for more people. Now as a diabetic I take 6 insulin injections a day, and as some will know, injection areas can become painful and lumps and bumps under the skin can develop. After just three days using the massager on these areas the lumps have all gone and I have less sore injection sites and more relaxed muscles. I think my doctor will be very surprised the next time she sees me. I also used it on my feet as I also suffer from neuropathy which is a desensitising of the nerves mainly in the hands and feet. At first it was a little uncomfortable but when you get the technique right it's easy as you have such good control of the unit. Tip - if you are sensitive when using the nipple shaped head, switch over to the other head which has several contact points instead, so the pressure is spread out, lessening the sensitivity. And yes my neck is also so much better. No oils are necessary just dry skin, but would probably be a nicer and more relaxing experience say if you were using it on someone else. Overall this has become one of my best buys from Amazon and I am very happy with it and the results, hence the rather long review. Definitely recommended.

It can be used to treat almost all areas of the body, such as the neck, shoulders, back, abdominal area, arms, legs and feet. I purchased this for my father in law that is in a wheelchair, he suffers a lot now with bad pains in his shoulders, that keep him up at night, so anything that will help to relive the pain is good. He has been using this now for a month and he said that it is good, he likes the fact that the deep heat Soothes and comforts his tired muscles, if only for a while, I will say that this massage is good for you if you have very deeply rooted muscle problems that affect your everyday life. It is quite strong, but some people need that like my dad for instance as not only does he use it on the troubled areas he also uses it on his legs and back to help with the blood circulation to, I guess It all depends on your requirements and needs. It is quite heavy to hold if your doing it on your own, but my dads carer seems to manage just fine, she says it's comfortable and easy to use. This comes with a comfortable non-slip foam handle as well as a handy wrist strap for self-treatments on hard to reach places, it is also a mains powered and has a 3 meter long power cord so you can get a great massage whenever and wherever you wish. I would give this for my father in law a 5 star rating, as he has not complained or wanted to send it back, so it must be good : )

The short version: strong (vibrating) massage, it heats the muscles/skin after a couple of minutes but the actual knobs don’t heat up which makes it more comfortable. Perfect for neck, shoulders and upper-back to relive pain from stiff neck, muscle spasms. I was positively impressed by the results and found it to be great value for money. Is it too heavy? If you can lift a 1.5 liter bottle of water with one arm and hold it above and behind your head you’ll be ok. Is it too strong? That’s very subjective… I like strong massages and only use it on the fast setting. My girlfriend likes softer massages and uses the slower setting and applies less pressure to it. Works for both of us… I recommend it, especially if you can buy it on discount (it routinely goes on sale). The longer version: I’ve recently bought the Zen as it was on Lightning Sale… I had been researching different brands of personal massagers but was unwilling to shell out a large sum of money as they all looked a bit gimmicky. After having received the Zen and used it 3-4x I have to say that this is a high quality product that does what it says “on the tin”: “improve blood circulation, free spasmodic muscles, revive tired muscles and revitalize Ki” [I don’t know about my KI being revitalized but the rest is accurate!]. So why 4 out of 5 stars? From the description it’s not really clear that the knobs only vibrate. Yes they do move up and down a small bit but it’s mostly a strong vibration. You still get the benefits listed above but I’ve seen and tested massagers (at Brookstone in the US) that have a slower circular motion resembling the circular thumb movement that a masseuse would do. As always, I may come back to my review and change that view if indeed I find that the results are good enough. Some have complained about the product being too heavy… well if you can comfortably lift a 1.5 liter water bottle and move it around and behind your body with one hand, then you shouldn’t have any problem using this. I guess it is a little heavy but given the strength of the engine and generally quality build I think it’s reasonable. Net question is: is it too strong? This is very subjective. I go to bed free of tension in my neck and shoulders, pain gone. I even notices a we light “cracking” sounds coming from my cervical vertebrae. They’re very light and subtle but – without being a trained specialist of any kind – I would attribute them to my spine improving alignment given that most of my problems are due to an incorrect posture while sitting at my office desk in front of my PC. I will try it on the base of my feet and on my shins (other problem areas for crams and splints) and will report back. I’ve gotten into the habit of using it every night for about 5-8 minutes max. I haven’t tried the other knob covers, I’ve only used the smooth ones. So far so good, I would recommend this product. Will come back with further experiences and also to report on the durability of the product and accessories

It's like a massage from a professional wrestler. A truly hardcore massager and the best I've ever had, I have had more than a few of this type of unit but this is Concorde compared to a biplane. I broke my neck many years ago and suffer muscle tightness and pain that can be indescribably bad, I didn't know it was broken so the vertebrae set wrong and my spine is like a Dr Seuss nightmare now. Morphine, codeine, NSAIDs, I've been filled with painkillers for years but none give me relief as fast as this massager. Even on the the low setting it blasts the rock hard knots in my neck and traps into jelly in a few minutes. The second setting is like a builder with a jackhammer on my neck, this is most definitely not for people with mild muscular aches and strains, it's just overkill. This is for pool old buggers like me that lived a bit too much and is now paying for it. Do not touch bone with it, for example, avoid the spine, it hurts, a few seconds of that and it would powder your skeleton. It's quite noisy, you won't hear the TV if youre blasting your neck but that's a price I'm happy to pay. If you have serious muscle issues, knotting up, stiff as rock muscle fibres that even a hard sports massage won't sort out then this is for you. It is big and quite heavy but it does seem to be V8 petrol powered so it's acceptable to me but may be an inconvenience for some folks. It has 2 types of easily and quickly interchangeable heads made of a softish rubber/silicon that are the perfect size shape and texture for a hard massage. Brilliant bit of kit that has made a genuine difference to my quality of life.

Our last reviber lasted for years, we tried to replace it at Christmas and couldn't so bought the more expensive Canadian machine which was so bad we sent it back immediately. Thank God Reviber restocked as we get a lot of muscle and back pain. Downside is that its a bit noisy and heavy but the pluses far outweigh that. You can plug it in, so use as long as you like, it is unreally powerful, really eases out knots, relieves leg and back and neck and foot pain. Save on massage and Chiropractors, the best machine on the market, only the hot and cold reviber beats it, which we couldn't find to purchase. A machine like this need power, this has it, great price.

It took me a while to eventually take the plunge and buy one of these, as price wise they are way above the average home massager, however, they are also way above the quality and massage capabilities of the cheaper ones too. Purchased because my partner suffers terribly with her back, neck and shoulders, due to her job. Have used it a few times a week for a few weeks now and she has gone from struggling to get in and out of bed, struggling sitting for periods of time and struggling with a painful shoulder to someone who can move freely again ( obviously results are going to vary from person to person). It's a fairly large and weighty massager but makes providing a massage with it so much easier. The weight adds the right amount of pressure so it gets deep into the muscles. There are two speed options and two different types of massage head. One for a lighter massage and one for a deep muscle massage. It has been worth every single penny paid for it.

Not really being a manic keep fit sort of person, I purchased this product because I am a bit lazy and easy-going. A very good and worth while purchase. The massager will give one a nice relaxing massage with the slow setting, but a much more robust going-over on the second or fast setting. It has a long flex and a handle which is quite long and covered half-way with a soft material for a good grip. I must admint to feeling better and more relaxed after ten minutes with this massaging machine, and I am using it diligently. If I were to mention one fault, it would be that it would be good if the mains flex was detachable from the main body of the machine when not being used. This would avoid any serious twisting of the flex after a long period of time. I reckon that this would be a good safety feature. All in all, a very good machine and I am very happy with its performance.

This is heaven if a little heavy. I suppose it's bound to be quite cumbersome with all the massaging technology going on inside. You have to be cautious not to leave against your body in one place for longer than recommended. It burns your skin. If used in accordance with instructions this massager is the best piece of equipment ive ever used outside a professional clinic for various arthritic problems. Brilliant for top of spine and between shoulder blades. It feels like you're properly being massaged. Actually, I love it so much I have bought two more for family members suffering from similar. I won't share mine!!!
