Love these shakers!
These shakers are exactly what I wanted, since they feature a pour spout too. That's exactly what I went looking for, and of course Oxo had it. I've started looking at Oxo stuff first when I need new kitchen accessories. The clear plastic body is thick and well made, and the top screws off and on easily. Shaker top and spout work just as they should, with the spout having a satisfying click when it closes.

Easy Pour a plus, Price not so much
I bought these because every time you unscrew the metal cap on a glass Salt & Pepper Shaker you get a decent amout of either, all over your countertop . It packs in the crude metal threadsWith this version, you just pop out the side poour or tap and pop it back in. No mess ! Somewhat smaller than a tall glass shaker. Lighter. Holes in top adequate, but a tich smaller diameter, than I would prefer. I like to be efficient, not get tennis elbow, smiles.

SET BROKE A++++ OXO CUSTOMER SERVICE
First set broke, contacted OXO directly, supplied some pics of the malfunction plastic part that broke. Had new replacement of salt grinder within two days directly. The selection of going appears to work very well for salt and pepper. Flaw might have been running Himalayan pink salt due to harder fragment???? Who knows but OXO is typically on top of their game and supports their products very well. Would recommend based on my experiences and their customer service.

They're So Handy!!
They are on the smaller side, which is what I was looking for so they don't take up much counter space, but their capacity is definately enough! i love the clear acrylic (they are not glass) you can see through them so you can manage when to refill or clean. They are super super handling friendly!! Like they just fit in my hands so well!! More holes for pepper and less holes for salt. They're simple, yet practical, and pretty (for S&P Shakers Lol). BEST PART is the little pour spout on the side!!! OMG i just love it!! Easily accessible for bigger jobs!! I love these not over the top, yet awesome shakers!! I'm going to buy more sets for other spices I use regularly. I Recommend!!

Not from the oxo cube maker
The OXO Good Grips brand is nothing to do with the British oxo cube maker, but part of the large American โHelen of Troyโ company โ the oxo name is used under license in the UK and Ireland. This OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Salt and Pepper Shaker Set โ Transparent/Black is well designed and well made and each shaker has a different hole pattern for dispensing either salt or pepper โ although they are not designated as such. The clear plastic makes keeping an eye on the fill levels easy and is BPA free which a lot of people prefer for food grade products. The stainless steel top can be used to sprinkle for table use but also has a side spout for dispensing larger quantities for cooking purposes. The shakers are not dishwasher safe but only need a quick hand-wash between re-fillings. We looked at quite a few similar products before deciding on this set and have not been disappointed โ a good value salt and pepper set that is ideal for everyday use.

Close, but no cigar. Maybe half a cigar.
These were not as good as I hoped. I *loved* the pouring spout idea, which is why I bought these, but the problem comes in with the shaker hole sizes. One jar has larger holes, and one has smaller holes. We deliberated and figured, okay, pepper flakes are probably smaller than salt grains (?), so we'll put pepper in the smaller-hole-size shaker. Oh my, no! No, no. That didn't work at all. Okay, switch! Now the salt hardly pours. Whatever we put in the one with the small holes just doesn't work. So half of this pair works great for either salt or pepper, and half works for neither. My husband will probably drill out the holes on the small-hole one when he gets a chance and we remember to do it, but in the meantime, we have a half useful set of shakers. I'm sort of amazed that OXO people tried this set and found it okay. This and a couple of other things from OXO have made me lose faith in them as (what is supposed to be) an always reliable brand.

'Top Drawer' Salt and Pepper Shaker set.
Simply 'Brilliant' Salt and Pepper shaker. The dispensing holes in the top are a wee bit larger than we have been used to on other shakers but these were always clogging up - even with rice grains inside them to keep the salt dry, but we've got the hang of it now. These are great, and the pouring spout to measure pepper or salt (ie a teaspoonful etc) is very good too. We bought these to match the OXO 'Good Grips Salt and Pepper Grinders' as there is always the ocassion that you don't want need to grind salt or pepper. They are well made and I expect these to last a very long time. They arrived very promptly - well within the time frame specified, and they fitted through our letter box OK. The packaging was very good and more than sufficient to ensure no damage. If I needed to buy these again I would use the same Seller.

Particles will drop out.
I am not quite like them because salt and pepper will stuck in the gap between the stainless part and the plastic (black) part when I use them the first and second time (the two parts are not integrated well so particles go everywhere ), and the third time, salt and pepper drop out everywhere, such as kitchen floor or kitchen worktop, from the gap, even you already held them upwards. Not too much but still annoying, because you will know the they will leave something when they pass by and have to clean afterwards.

Great and almost perfect...
Love these - I keep them on my worktop for use when I'm cooking. I can grip these easily - great when you have arthritic hands. The only slight issue is the pouring spout - it pours a little too fast resulting in oversalting at first, although I'm sure I'll get used to it and adjust. I just wish they had lids to keep the salt dry - how about it, Oxo?
