Great machine!
This is a great little machine, it's just perfect for my use. I looked at a lot of different MIG welders, but what sold me on this one was first of all, it's dual-voltage, so I can get my amperage up over that 140 mark by connecting to 220. It seems that 140 amps. falls just short of being able to effectively weld a little bit thicker metal, but with this machine, you can get it all the way up to 155 by connecting to 220 volts, in case I had to weld something just a little bit heavier. But also, really important to me was, I wanted to have something that was very small and very lightweight. Most of the mig welders that I looked at, once you get into the 220 volt range the welders get much heavier to cart around. I have a big family and I'm always trying to patch things up at the kids houses. This is so easy to move and so easy to work with that I was sold on trying this machine. I'm very pleased with its performance and ease of use. The dual voltage is also perfect in case I have to go to the kids house and they can't hook up a dryer cord for 220 volts, I just use 110. I love the fact that I can use flux core in a pinch if I have to, although mig is my preferred choice. Trying to think of all the things that I like about it, it was just so simple to connect. I don't think it took me 10 minutes from the time I open the box to the time I started welding. It's perfect for someone that's not a professional, that doesn't do it all the time and that wants portability. I'm very pleased and I highly recommend it .

Welder Worked Fantastically
I used this welder to repair a corroded rusty gate to my home. I have used older style stick welders before but this MIG welder with the Argon gas tank attachment was great. I also ordered the welding mask, welding wire, & a grinder with a newer type grinding wheel that smoothed my welding joints down perfectly. If I would have purchased a new steel gate the cost would have been 1,000 dollars. So buying these products from Amazon saved me a lot of money in order to get this job done properly at this time. Plus I can now do future welding jobs as well.

Seems like a versatile entry-level machine for the price and tech support experience was very good
I am a novice welder and have only used my machine a couple of times - will try to update the review when I've had more time with it. From a specs/versatility and price perspective this machine seems like it will provide good bang for the buck. The manual is not great which led to some newby mistakes on my part. Hopefully these notes will be of use to someone out there who is just starting out as well. I was setting up for gasless flux with the provided wire and was having wire feed issues. I called support and a live person answered and they were really nice and helpful. 5 stars for support - wish I got the name so I could give him props. The unit ships with two wire drive wheels - I had used the smooth one where I should have used the toothed one. Also make sure you use the right groove based on wire size. Finally, the unit ships with two springs for the wire reel - use the light one. Even that may be too much in which case you can adapt the heavy one to correct the tension - would have likely been better to just have some sort of screw tension adjustment on the unit. With the help from tech support, I think I'll be in decent shape. Overall happy with unit so far. It's lightweight and seems like it will meet my needs and have ability to learn tig as well and use 110 or 220v.

Really Good Small Welder
I had another inexpensive brand of welder which quit working after a couple of years. Since I was a beginner I did't know what to look for when I bought the first one. I purchased the new one because it had MIG and core flux wire capability as well as stick. I was pleasantly surprised when it came. The "come withs" like the stick holders and gas gage were first rate. I thought that I was going to use the core flux for my application, but it really did not work for geometric reasons. So I went back to stick, which, to my amazement, worked much, much better than the old box. I attribute the better weld to the fact that, in addition to the current setting, it has a voltage setting, which limits the power when you raise the stick further from the weld. I like this machine. It does everything as advertised. It operates smoothly and does what it should. I am not an expert, but, from what I can tell, it does work well.

Great price, great machine
I at first thought the welder wasn't functioning properly, but it was operator error. I looked over the operator's manual and realized I had the leads connected wrong. After that it has worked flawlessly. I haven't arc welded since high school, it was very easy to pick it up and weld. I have mig welded for years with argon, really can't see a difference from flux core to shielded gas, works great. Also had a question for Weld Pro, and customer service rep, Joe, responded immediately, and even left a number and asked me to call him. You will not find a better machine for this price. Thanks.

Okay..
I bought this as a garage welder. It worked most of the time but the feed rolls are plastic as are many of the internals. It's not a professional welder so I didn't have those expectations. The tech support is amazing. You call, they answer. Of course, mine cradled out almost immediately after the warranty expired.

Nice Welder
Great little welder. You do not waste wire by removing mig pigtail to use stick welder like some. Will run on 20 amp breaker.

Awsome welder for the price , very impressed!
I weld everyday at work , I set up a shop at home and did alot of research and found this machine. Easy set up awsome little welder for the money. Mig on 110 welded 1/4 inch like butter and super smooth clean no splatter weld. I was hesitant to try a not name brand welder , I had a hobart handler 140 it was good but the board gave up in it . For the money and a 3 year warranty its a deal, I drilled a hole in the back of the welder and used one of my daughters training wheels to make a big spool holder.. she's passed and scraped up but ok.Anyways free tiger king and weld on!
