Not a solid solution to your household drinking water...unless you drink very little water...
I mean, it worked. It's small and portable, which is great! I guess it'd be helpful for traveling. It's kind of cute. But it filters such a small amount of water at a time. And since it's as slow as any other water filter, you find yourself waiting around for just a little bit of water. I'm giving it a 3 because a part of the problem was that we simply didn't account for how much water we actually drink and you may be able to tell before buying that it's not going to filter much. So it's kind of my fault. But overall, it seems like a waste of money. We were moving up from one of the bobble pitchers, so our standards were low. My tip (if you still want to buy this) set up the filter over your pitcher and run the sink into it at a small stream and just walk away. I mean keep an eye on it, but don't wait around. After about 2 months, we upgraded to one of those larger Brita UltraMax Dispensers. A little more realistic for us. You just fill in the big top part with water and it does the work in large batches and you don't have to keep filling it up. I'm not affiliated with Brita (get whatever larger filter you want) I'm just happy my water filter search is over.Update: I've tried a few water filters over the year and my favorite is the LifeStraw brand :)

Great for travelling
I love travelling with this product; it gives me easy access to drinking water wherever I go, without the health concerns and insane waste of bottled water. Water flows through pretty quickly, so I put it on top of a 500mL cup, fill it with tap water, wait about 15 seconds, and enjoy. My only wish would be for it to be a few millimetres narrower at the bottom, so it would fit into more containers.

Good design, slow trickle
I like the design and concepts of this filter, although the performance is slow. The size and design are nice. I come from using the everydrop filter by whirlpool. The size on this one is better. It fits in a wider variety of vessels. It also has small ridges on the funnel part to help stop and airlock in round openings. My problem lies in the speed. Now I'm fine waiting for water to filter, but this seems as though it's sold as a faster filter than others. I've done the soaking and shaking per the instructions...and even redid it a few times. The process is still a bit more than a trickle. Nothing like the product photos represent. In fact for reference if you're going to buy one. 8oz of water to 1 minute 25 seconds this morning. Again I'm fine waiting but hoped it would be quicker.Update:I ordered a replacement filter worked good for about a week and a half...say 3 gallons...now back to a SLOW trickle

Best Portable Water Filter
I love this filter. It such a simple and easy to use filters system I wish I purchased it sooner. I currently have a Brita (long life filter), a Zero water filter, comparable filter for Brita, and a Pur. They are all good products but they all have some down sides. This Beautiplove can be used anywhere, anytime, into any container, bottle, or glass, and is very fast filtering.I see Whirlpool has one that looks exactly like this and is twice the price, $39.99.Only thing I wish this had is a case, so when you carry or when it's not in use. But a Ziploc bag will work just fine.Save your money, save the earth; don't buy bottled water, but this and filter any water right into your reusable water bottle, or bottle water dispenser.I read some of the reviews and see where customers are complaining that the pieces don't stay on or fit together. I had that issue as well. But examined it carefully and the filter has threads on it like a screw on cap and the bottom part as well. So, the filter and the bottom part must come to together to screw them together. I noticed that the filter, although it was in the top portion and the arrows were aligned, the filter was NOT fully pushed down into the bottom half. Thus it was not extended far enough down to join the two pieces together. So before you send it back or trash it, be sure the filter is flush with the top portion and then just screw them together. This makes an excellent gift for everyone on the go or for those with limited space in their kitchen.Pros: Portable Inexpensive Great tasting water BPA Free 150 gallons before filter needs to be replacedCons: No case

Beautiplove Portable Water Filter
We have a summer house in the NE with well water. It's been tested and found safe, there is a LOT of iron that even the whole house filter sometimes can't manage between backwashing. I've been using bottled water for making tea and plain drinking water, but like most, I'm purging as much plastic from our day to day lives as possible. For three days I loved this filter system. Filling the tea pot and metal water bottle took a lot of time, but I didn't mind that because the end result was clean water without that "just came from underground" taste. That's about thirty fills to manage my water bottle and tea pot. The filtered water looked good, but it stopped tasting good.I mean, if I have to replace the filter every few days, I may as well buy bottled water. I'm back on the hunt for an alternative.

Filtering 1.4 liters takes 90 seconds
Simple, economical way to treat tap water for kitchen uses or finicky plants. I am not convinced it made a significant difference in our case. Unfiltered water is 197ppm. Filtered still measured 182ppm.

Good Value Rids Water of Chlorine but Tricky to Use
Good filter when filtering water into 1 gallon jugs. It can be tricky though as if you dont set it in container just right it tips over and spills water all over the place. Its good value for the money however and ive traveled internationally with it a few times now. It does the tricks of filtering out chlorine taste so um overall happy with ut.

Not much help
I already buy filtered water from the water store, and usually it's quite good, but once in a while I get it when their filters are getting old and the water has a musty taste. I bought this gadget hoping it would be able to take care of that problem, but it's no help at all. It does seem to get rid of the mustiness (and when I tried it out on tap water, it did get rid of the chlorine), but it also adds a sharp, unpleasant taste of its own which is not an improvement. I don't know if it's adding anything harmful or not, but water that tastes like vinegar was not what I was hoping to get from this thing. Just a waste of money.
