is the material easy to wash?

Yes! Super easy! I usually wipe them clean (uppers an sides of rubber sole) with baby wipes. Once, after our pup with muddy paws stepped right on top of the toe box, I hosed them clean and let them air dry. No staining.

Would these shoes work for exercise or dance class? I need ankle and mid-foot support plus some grippiness

I returned mine because they hurt on the sides on my ankle. I love Adidas shoes but not these ones.

I was wondering if these would fit wided feet?

Not really. I would try the mids for wider feet.
