What a great piece of kit. Solid, sturdy and well constructed. Much more substantial than I had anticipated, so very pleased. The top, fifth, forward gear propels my 12 foot wooden canoe along at a phenomenal rate, although I need to add some weight in the bow to counter the weight of the engine and the battery. Be aware when planning to attach to a canoe, that unlike a row boat or dinghy you don’t sit to the side of the tiller arm, or if you do when you want to turn with the tiller towards you, you might find yourself in the way and in moving out of the way, fall in! Which I did. I’m going to build a transom today to try and solve this problem - so just be aware. But finally - great little motor.
