I used AIWA products through my teenage years and loved the rich bassy sound. I travelled with their personal stereos and never had any problems with them. I was wondering if this product had the same tones. The box and packaging are very stylish and well presented. The accessories are cool, high quality. I found it very easy and intuitive to set-up and the instruction leaflet could not be clearer, with easy to follow illustrations. The menu is smooth to navigate and there is a minimal, simple selection of buttons. It automatically scanned all the usual stations and more with clear audio in my location- outside a major city. The speaker is small but the sound is clear yet rich. I like the time and date displayed when in standby. As for the AIWA sound? Plug in a set of headphones and that is what I am talking about. It got 'approval rubs' from my cat. They know their audio better :) I think they have sacrificed the metal casings to be competitive in what is now a huge market. The unit is still solid but easy to knock over with the arial up. Can't comment on the battery life and general longevity yet but I think it will last. A quality product from Japanese engineers at a great price. I can't understand the negative reviews.

For a DAB radio the sound was so bad I think it had a fault !

Out of the box setup is easy using the auto scan system, which scans all stations and stores them in memory. This allows step to next DAB station function which almost instantly goes to the next station up or down. In FM mode tuning is the old fashioned way press and hold button to scan. When in DAB mode reception can be difficult in low signal areas because of bit errors in the recieved signal. This can limit the stations you can listen to because of intermittant audio dropout. The volume level set at 50% level is easy listening across the room. At max it is loud but distorted. In noisy environments I found 75% level to work well. The LCD display is clear with reasonable brightness and is necessary for normal operation of the radio. Recharge from empty took 3 hours but discharge in normal operation is several hours. It will hold charge when not in use. Overall good, well made little radio for the price in my opinion.

What a wonderful small portable dab radio. Simple to set up and use and good sound from it's built in speaker. Small enough and light enough to be pocket portable. The only criticisms I have for it are over the headphones and usb charger lead, both are a bit too short. Why did you choose this product over others?: I have had Aiwa products in the past and been very happy with them. Quality: Good quality, well built Battery life: 15 or so hours depending on the volume setting.

This Aiwa is a great product, build quality is fantastic and the weight is good too. Don’t know why this Aiwa has received such negative reviews as I find it easy to tune dab radio and it’s the third attempt with two previous radios I’ve had to send back. So thank you Amazon for giving me the opportunity to send back promptly and get it fixed to eventually get it right. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Supplied info said 16 hours battery life. In reality, after three re-charges maximum life was 3 hours ! Have now bought a DAB radio which uses rechargeable AA batteries and have no battery life issues. Until AIWA improve battery life, cannot recommend this radio

Excellent little radio! 👍 looking for a portable & rechargeable DAB I opted for this Aiwa model as an 80's nostalgia fan. For £20 you get the radio, carry pouch, charger & cable and headphones! For just £19.99! What more can you expect?? The sound is crisp and clear, easy to use and sets up in minutes. I highly recommend this great little radio unbelievable value 🔥❤️👍

Ottima radio per qualità, estetica, di marchio prestigioso, e materiale ottimo con cui è costruita, segnale e qualità dell'audio. Purtroppo però ha presentato un difetto, iniziando a diventare assente il segnale audio, ma, intervenendo sul tasto per aumentare il volume, al massimo livello, ritornava l'audio. Ma, successivamente il difetto si presentava sempre più frequentemente, fino alla scomparsa totale dell'audio, costringendo al reso, in quanto non risolvibile.

Una radio excepcional. Sonido nítido, facilidad uso, moderna, ligera, estoy encantado. La recomiendo totalmente.

No me ha gustado nada. Mal sonido. Las emisoras se sintonizan deficientemente. Imposible poder escucharlas con un mínima calidad..Reverbera el sonido del altavoz. En definitiva, decepcionado con éste producto AIWA. Caro y mal producto el que he recibido.

Es una buena radio. Para el precio que tiene, no está mal, otras de marca son bastante mas caras. Tiene algunos problemas tontos, como que si la apagas pierde la fecha/hora, aunque al conectarla si la pones en modo DAB, la actualiza. Por otro lado, el DAB aunque tiene un sonido espectacular tienes que extender de todo la antena y estar en una zona de la casa que coja la señal, aunque me temo que el problema no es la radio, sino la situación de la radio digital en España. Otro problema tonto, pero a tener en cuenta es que el manual, por llamarlo de alguna manera, porque no llega a eso, es tipo prospecto de medicamento, incomodo de leer y en el que además no vienen todas las opciones de configuración que tiene la radio, hay dos opciones de configuración que se intuye para que sirven, pero no hay ninguna referencia. Por otro lado, el cargador es aceptable, el cable del cargador tiene buena calidad, los casquitos que viene suenan de lujo. En resumen es un buen aparato.
