Seems to be the solution to our cat problem
I ordered the product after reading the reviews; very fast delivery! The plan was to mix and spray in the evening to dissaude the local feral cats from using our yard as their personal litter box. I anticipated a horrid smell as noted in the reviews but there was only a very faint odor. The yard was sprayed with a half gallon. The next morning no evidence of cats. The same was true for the 2nd and 3rd mornings even though I didn't spray. The 4th morning...the cats were back and I sprayed again that evening. 5th morning no cats. At this writing the "cat and Mace" game continues.

Ineffective, need to spray every day
Following the directions spraying every day for a week, it seemed to keep the cats away, but I failed to spray it one day and the next day there was cat poop in my gravel area. The scent isn't great but tolerable, however if the only way to keep the cats away is to spray daily, it's just not worth it (unless it sold for 50 cents a bottle). I guess I'll take the gravel out and place concrete patio blocks; it's the only way to prevent the cat from digging and pooping there. Don't waste your money on this product as I thought one spray would last for at least a week or more.

Cats, get off my lawn!
Note that due to some vendor's chicanery, I no longer give 5-star reviews.I bought this item for my girlfriend's former house (she's since moved). She had several neighbors that fed stray cats (#STUPID) and they were using the perimeter of her house as a litterbox. After a few weeks of the strong ammonia smell when I entered/left her house I decided it was time to reclaim her property. I bought this size because she had a big problem and I wanted to show the cats that I was the boss.Although I used a stronger solution than what the packaged recommended, I used this according to package directions. Note that you need to spray this MULTIPLE days in a row and do NOT spray it on concrete - spray it on the grass. Be warned that this stuff stinks... REALLY bad! You'll want to wash your hands thoroughly if you get any on your hands. I do not recommend using this in a heavy wind unless you want to wear this stinky stuff. This stuff worked almost immediately for me. Minutes after I used it, cats walked away from her property line. Again, I used this for several days in a row. Days later, cats didn't even walk on her side of the street - they would change sides of the street. A couple of weeks later, I saw a random cat on her property and I reapplied it for several days in a row again.I'm happy to report that I have reclaimed her property and we longer have to tolerate the ammonia smell when we went in/out of her house. This stuff works - but you have to follow package directions.I definitely recommend this product for anyone who is tired of smelling cat urine!

Minimal effectiveness.
We have a real issue with feral cats setting up shop in our backyard. Admittedly, I didn't help the situation by initially leaving food and water out for them. What started as four or five cats, grew to well over a dozen. I stopped leaving out food and water, but they still hung around. I began using this Cat Mace product and I noticed that it did not have that great of an effect on them. In fact, I sprayed one area where they hung out heavily, and I later saw cats laying down in the area. I followed the instructions to the T, and yet they still use our backyard for their personal litter box. I also purchased an electronic device that emits a high pitched sound when it detects movement in the yard. I don't believe that device works as advertised as well, but with both the cat mace and the electronic device, along with me not feeding them anymore, there has been in noticeable decline in the feline population in the backyard. There are still a few stragglers, but they still lay in the spots that I treated every day for an entire week. Does it work? I'm not sure.

Product WORKS! Pet and Kid Friendly.
I have been using Natures Mace products for years. Their Cat Mace really works. In fact I just wrote it down for an elderly woman in Home Depot who was having her poor husband replace all of their newly added flower bed material because of the cat issues!! Lots of unecessary work and expense. Cats really do stay away when product us used correctly. I use the concentrate mixed in a one gallon sprayer. And I love that it is safe for pets and kids!!My favorite product is Skeeter Mace. I live near orchards and rice fields. We just had a pest free bbq last weekend. People were amazed. And this stuff actually smells good. I think I smell a little cinnamon. My friends ALL love Skeeter Mace. Go to naturesmace.com and look at what they have to offer. All natural. Pet and kid safe. You will be very impressed.

does not work as stated in ad
As I was considering this product ,one of the things that convinced me to purchase was the fact that it said in the ad that rain would not affect the effectiveness of the product. But when I received the product the directions said to respray after it rained. It also said to spray several days in a row, but it uses 8oz. per gallon of water . The container is only 40 oz. so to do my yard once it took 2 gallons which is 16 oz. so I can only spray 2 1/2 times which is not what I need. One container is 32dollars so it is rather expensive to use. Also ,after using it I still have neighborhood cats wandering and using the bathroom in my yard. I would not recommend it unless you have a really small yard.

Very good product, but it came without a spray bottle. Shipping was fast.

Doesn’t work. I really don’t recommend it.
To be honest with my experience on my neighborhood. They are a lot of cats and there are always on my front porch and I didn’t see any difference. I did all the recommendation that the products says, but it didn’t work. I really didn’t like it.
