Can I put this on turquoise to protect it

You can test a piece of Turquoise but this products is recommended for metal that is in contact with the skin.

Doea it work on real gold ?

Because there is nickel in gold...thats why.

Can jewelry get wet after applying the sheild?

Mine did and I also cleaned mine and replaced the shield. My jewelry was 10 and 14 karat gold.( I cleaned the gold backing with nail polish remover,not the diamonds!!
