Beautiful, large sturdy easel. The quality of this easel is exceptional. They only provide picture assembly instructions, but if you pay close attention to the details, it's easy to put together. They also provide the tools! I've been painting for many years and did a lot of research before purchasing this one. The price was very reasonable for the quality that you get with this easel.

I was hesitant to pull the trigger based on the high (but not *that* high) price relative to others in the category, but this easel is genuinely excellent, in fact surprisingly so. It's HEAVY and extremely solid. The wood is nicely finished, dense, and feels very substantial. The whole device is simple to operate but cleverly designed. It was well-packaged and the wood pieces are wrapped to prevent scratches. Assembly was straightforward and the manual is well thought-out: each wood piece has a number sticker and each metal assembly piece group comes in a lettered bag that corresponds to a step in the manual. It was very simple, just a tip would be to pay careful attention because it doesn't prompt you to flip pieces before certain steps in the way Ikea does. Just look closely to make sure your orientation matches the manual (hole and screw positions included) and you'll be gucci. The wheels are a soft rubberized material and they come on heavy mounts with visible ball bearings, which will be easy to re-lubricate later on. The movement from upright to flat is fluid and easy to do, and it's easy to adjust along the way. Even with the 5'x7' canvas I immediately loaded in, it's easy to maneuver and manipulate the various adjustments. Honestly I think this thing will easily last a lifetime; it's well-designed, well-made, and worth every cent.

I took my time before I decided on which new easel to buy, but I finally chose this one because of the 90 degree folding feature, as well as the wheels. I cannot tell you how INCREDIBLE this easel is! It is absolutely beautiful and solid! I am so glad that I chose this easel, especially because of the wheels. This easel is built to last! Every single part of it is solid as a rock...the wheels are heavy duty, not cheap plastic casters. It rolls beautifully. My only regret is that I did not purchase this easel years ago. For the money, you will not find a better deal than this - or even come close. I have compared many different brands, and this ranks at the top for quality, beauty, functionality, etc. The single only drawback was the assembly...although it was easy to follow and well-marked, it is easy to put things on backwards or upside down without realizing it (which I did)...which required taking it apart and rebuilding it. Hey. I never claimed to be a carpenter, so... All in all, if you are looking for a new easel, look no further. This is as good, if not better than others five times the cost. You will not be disappointed!

The quality seemed great until the last few steps of assembly, I had to drill some new holes. The bottom support was glued on about half an inch lower than where it needed to be. Other than needing that adjustment, assembly was easy and using the easel has been really enjoyable. It adjusts quickly and simply. Moves as smooth as silk. Assembly= 4 stars Usability = 5 stars!

What a great quality and materials. Every piece in the box is marked with a unique number or letter to identify against the instructions. All hardware are individually grouped and bagged with letter designators that make the assembly go smoothly. I consider the quality of this product on par with some higher end furniture manufacturers. Just impressed with the quality of the hardwood, the finish, how tight the pieces fit into each other and basically a 10/10 for me. the instructions ( assembly diagrams ) were great and provided enough detail ( at least for me) to get the assembly done with no issues. Make sure you look at the details of the pieces to know exactly how to place them next to each other. Orientation can be uniquely identified if you look at the details in each piece on the diagram ( hole distances , the way the item is facing, etc) I chose to put some wood glue to permanent joints ( from past experience it helps a lot with stability of wood structures and taking away any future squeaks or looseness ) but definitely not necessary at all for this assembly. It comes with the tools you need ( two screw drivers and an Allen key) but I used my own tools and also a power screw driver to speed things up. Some pointers : Try and not use a power screw driver - it is really not needed - but if you are using it like I did to speed things up, make sure the torque level is at the minimum and do tightening of screws by hand at the end to avoid over screwing and ruining the wood hole. The metal screws with plastic knobs used for adjustment have a rectangular base on the metal end. As you put the knob on and tighten the knobs the square part of the screw base will embed themselves into the wood so they end up sitting flat next to the surface. On the same screw and knobs assembly, remember the washer always goes with the knob. If you have some wood glue ( or get one , they are cheap), use some wood glue ( I put it on the mating surfaces using a q-tip ) and then use the screw and bolts to tighten the piece together. The wood glue will help with future wobbliness or squeaky joints. I don’t expect this one to experience any of that but I always use wood glue so did so here too. I will gladly buy more products from this manufacturer. Awesome experience so far.

In some steps the assembly instructions may be a little confusing but the final assembled product is worth the effort. This is a sturdy, well designed easel - easy to work with and substantial enough to hold the large paintings. The tray is sufficiently large to hold "in use" items - wish I had invested in a good easel (like this) first instead of a "started" easel.

Very sturdy, beautiful wood and easy to assemble and adjust to any position. Definitely love this easel. I've used it for 3 new paintings and was a definite pleasure to use. Highly recommend 👌.

AFTER EYEING THIS FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS I FINALLY BOUGHT IT FOR $185. YOU NEED ANOTHER PERSON TO HELP IF YOU'RE A SENIOR AS IT'S HEAVY AND AWKWARD TO PUT TOGETHER YOURSELF. IT TOOK ME 4 HOURS AND I HAD TO USE MY DRILL ON THE SCREWS. THE WOOD IS VERY GOOD QUALITY, BUT THE LOCKING RING CATCH IS CHEAP AND ARRIVED BENT SO IT DOESN'T HOLD ONTO THE RATCHETS WHEN THE EASEL IS UPRIGHT. I BOUGHT THIS PARICULARLY BECAUSE IT COULD LIE FLAT, HOWEVER, BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE MIDDLE BAR DOWN THE BACK IS MADE, IT DOESN'T ALLOW CANVASES TO JUST LIE ACROSS THE BARS EVER. THEY TIP AND CAN FALL DOWN IN BETWEEN THE BARS AND THEY CAN ALSO BE BUMPED TO FALL. THE DIRECTIONS ARE CLEAR BUT INCORRECT ON A COUPLE OF PAGES WITH THE DRAWINGS BACKWARDS WHICH MEANT AFTER GETTING IT ALMOST FINISHED I HAD TO TAKE APART A STEP AND REVERSE IT WHILE NOT TAKING THE REST BACK APART. I'M SO DISGUSTED. IT WEIGHS A TON WHICH IS GOOD, BUT I CAN'T RETURN IT AS IT WOULD INVLOVE DISMANTELLING AND REPACKING, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS IN CHINA. THE REPLACEMENT PART WILL TAKE 15 DAYS TO ARRIVE. HOW'S THAT FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE? NO U.S. PHONE NUMBER TO CALL, NO U.S. EMAIL ADDRESS. I DON'T RECOMMEND BUYING THIS. **Update 4/2: 1. I FOUND THIS KNOB ON THE FLOOR, BROKEN. 2. CANVAS SHELF CAN'T STAY STILL WHEN NEEDED AS MIDDLE BAR PREVENTS SHELF FROM LYING FLUSH AGAINST STAND. WIGGLES SIDEWAYS AND BACK & FORTH WHILE PAINTING. 3. LOCKS ARE TOO SHORT TO GET SHOE UNDER EASILY & TOO STIFF TO DO BY HAND. REALLY REGRET BUYING THIS, IT'S BEEN SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT AND HASSLE.

Excellent product. I just can’t say enough about how impressed I am with this easel!! Heavy duty and very stable! So big, so awesome. This is solid birch and looks just great. It’s a very nice looking piece of furniture on its own. Easy enough to assemble if you are patient and read the instructions. Each wood piece has a number sticker on it and all the hardware is separately bagged with letter codes. Comes with all the tools you will need including decent quality screwdrivers. The hardware itself is really good quality. The wheels are metal instead of plastic, so I expect this to last a very long time. Once I had it together, it was so easy to adjust to any configuration with the large knobs everywhere. I actually haven’t even seen it at it’s full height because it definitely goes higher than my very high ceilings in the house. It has a lifetime warranty as well. Super happy with it.
