Works great.
Was able to use these for our wooden deck. They work as intended.

Loose fit!
These are definitely smaller than 1/2" diameter, might have to use the toothpick technique and plenty of glue, should work but a little disappointing. Correction after digging around in the bag I found some that fit properly, good thing I got a bag of a 100! Second correction I upgraded to four stars, the company offered to make it right. I got enough to finish my project, I will order again from them due to great customer service.

Very bad Quality, don’t buy
The quality of Dowels is very bad, looks like been stored forever, and came with a very soft manual packing bags that can’t be stored. Don’t buy it it’s a total scam

Perfect Dowels
Excellent quality!

oversize
dowels range in size from .380" to .385, which is too large to fit an accurate 3/8" hole. I was able to shrink them to a workable size by putting them in a 190F oven for 35 minutes. Other maker's dowel pins are more accurately sized.
