Dorman 800-955 GM Air Conditioning Schrader Valve M12 X 1.50

I used the Dorman 800-955 A/C Schrader Valve on my 2005H2 Hummer to replace the factory GM ball-style valve, and it solved the problem immediately. The original valve was slowly leaking refrigerant - a common GM issue - but this Schrader-style replacement threaded in perfectly and sealed tight with no hassle. After pulling vacuum and recharging the system, the H2 held pressure with zero leaks and no dye seepage around the new valve. The quality feels solid, and it works with standard R134A service tools, making the job quick and clean. Best replacement for leaking GM high side charging ports. Fits on my coworker’s 2011 Chevy Impala.

1). This new style gets RID of the bad design of GM with the ball valve. This has a traditional schrader valve. Much better design and replaceable without changing the whole port again. 2). Lets talk about that schrader valve. Mine was shipped LOOSE. You must tighten it to get a seal before you install preferably. Learned this the hard ish way, luckily was able to tighten it and only lose a small amount of freon in the process. 3) Apparently they try to force you into buying a fancy socket to tighten. You can do it with smooth pliers. but what a joke! Make it standard box end wrench sizing! AC fixed so im happy but not without a few curse words....

I'm not certain what possessed GM to fit the terrible ball service valves on these vehicles, but mine was inevitably leaking refrigerant. Not being a standard Schrader valve design makes the fix more challenging, since it can't be done without losing refrigerant, so I'm glad to have future proofed the vehicle with this simple replacement part - that replaces the high side service port with a Schrader valve design. For the home mechanics - I replaced mine without evacuating the system, you just have to be quick to take the old one off and pop the new one on. The refrigerant loss is minimal, as is the cleanup. Very similar to changing the Schrader valve on an inflated tire. Recommend wearing some work gloves since the refrigerant will get cold as it escapes.

I have a ford fusion 2007 , it had the ball pin valve which was not holding pressure. This valve was the perfect replacement for my vehicle, even though it was expensive the fit was perfect

Wer das Kugelventil loswerden will ist hier gut bedient. Klasse Qualität, passt perfekt in meinen 2003 Tahoe.
