NOT a "Concealment" holster!
I don't know who on this planet decided that this plastic/kydex duty holster should be called a concealment holster, but it most certainly is not.I am rating it 2 stars for the false advertising and getting stuck with return shipping from a company that should have been more straight-forward and Amazon for allowing these shenanigans.First, I must say that it is a very good duty holster for someone who works in law enforcement and/or someone who wants an open carry. Its "gun-slinger" positioning makes it easily accessible for quick draw. It would be great for retaining the weapon in law enforcement duty, security, competition (except the retainment option negates this) or possibly military. However, it is far too protrusive and open for most military applications where it would easily snag and become hung up on everything, and any ground movement would leave the weapon very exposed to damage and elements that eventually even a Glock might have trouble with. Not to mention it would be exceedingly painful to land on or crawl with. So, only the afore-mentioned would be applications that this holster might possibly serve. It is FAR too bulky for any concealed carry even under a large winter coat. It protrudes away from the body a full 4" and even further considering the grip of the weapon. It prints noteably with the largest of coats with any movement of the arm away from the weapon including walking. For anything less than a heavy winter coat it is simply ludicrous. It is inflexible, bulky and very hard.Sadly, the photography is extremely limited, almost, as if to fool the unwary into buying a "concealement" holster, while purposefully avoiding any views showing the dramatic distance that it extends away from the wearer. Short of using a "sniper-hide or camo netting, it is not possible to conceal a weapon with this holster using normal wearing apparel. In short, DO NOT buy this if you are looking for any kind of concealment of any form.Update: I still can't believe they are calling this a concealment holster! It is very wrong to do so!

Excellent holster. Very ergonomic and comforatbkle to wear.
I am just an average, everyday shooter. I use this for range and carrying around property. Superior retention, outstanding build/quality material/finishing touches. Love the way the trigger finger indexes to the frame of the weapon. Worth every penny. It comes with 2 setups 1. In waist band: I will not be using this feature, Not a fan of it, but it does work. It is not suitable for concealed carry (unless wearing bulky clothing over the firearm). 2. Belt setup: get yourself a good belt designed/stiff enough to keep the holster from being pulled up/or down as you use your firearm. It is designed so the weapon can be bolted /canted to the rear or forward.. The screws that come with the holster look like they would stay put, but you might want to secure them with loc-tite or nail polish. The carbon part of the description refers to a "sticker" they place on the holster to make it look nicer. Does do that but no biggy. Adds no strength to the holster, which, by the way, is very solid build.I have not drawn my firearm enough to see if the holster will eventually rub off some of the weapon finish. I assume it will and am not concerned by this. Rubbing anything against another object will cause any coloring or the finish to rub off slightly, depending on the material. When holstering the weapon, you can feel and hear that it is locked into the holster. The tension of the holster can be increased or lessened to allow drawing of the firearm to be easier or harder to withdraw from the holster. For those who are of the belief that it is an unfit holster because some people have accidentally (negligently) pulled the trigger and fired their weapon...human error, not holster design error. Training yourself will takes care of any issues. Glock fan boys claim training takes care of the lack of a safety (do not claim it has a real safety please). So I see no problem with getting familiar with this holster. I do NOT carry my firearm on fire with one in the chamber. I currently have no need for carrying it so. I put one in the chamber, firearm on safe. If you cannot take the firearm off safety when drawing, you need...training. Excellent purchase.

Great fit with the XDM 3.8 & 4.5
I like this one a lot. My XDM 3.8" is completely contained, with the muzzle less than a 1/2" inside the end, and my XDM 4.5 sticks out about 1/2". Normally I don't like the muzzle protruding at all because if it hits up against something the gun can get popped out of the holster, but with the locking system that won't happen. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that I dislike Blackhawk's paddle, which is needlessly harder to get on and off than my Fobus, which has a broad, shallower 4" wide catch for the inside of your pants. It has a really deep hook on the inside of your pants so it's a two-handed struggle to remove it, and I'm sure over time that hook is harder on your pants. I may play with grinding it down a bit.

P30 GOOD; VP9 doesn't fit
DO NOT BUY THIS FOR THE NEW VP-9: this holster is excellent for the H&K P30. However, testing and my personal experience confirm that although the new VP 9 is nearly identical to the P30 in many ways, this Serpa holster DOES NOT fit the VP 9. You can force it in, but it will wear on the gun's covering at best, and simply does not work well. The same goes for the smoothe version holster. I will see about returning it to Amazon (undamaged). Several online sources now also confirm this.

Good Holster
Fits well and does hold the gun, but it's ahrd to get adjusted just right to keep a beretta from flopping around inside the holster while you walk. If you want a good range holster, this will work and look good, but if you want a firm retention while moving around that doesn't make any plastic knocking noice, I'd try a different holster.
