I like to use it for steeping tea cold brew style. It's a nice carafe that doesn't take up too much space. Wall could be a little bit thicker (I worry a little about placing it down too hard and possibly cracking it) but it does the thing, looks good, and is a reasonable price.

Double wall. Not too fragile, holds a good amount (700 grams +?) keeps it hot. A daily user for me with a Hario Switch V60m. Beats what came with the Hario.

I should preface this, that this is a lengthy review, however detailed. If you want details read on, if you want something quick, this isn't for you. If you want to brew some coffee a Chemex or knockoff will work just fine. Honestly, this carafe is just that, a carafe. What sets it apart is the double wall design that retains more heat than a traditional single wall Chemex. I don't really subscribe to the whole 1 dot, 2 dot measuring system as I have invested money in a scale and thrive on accuracy, so will continue to get my moneys worth using my overpriced scale and accurate water ratios. The down side to any glass product is it can shatter easily. I have done it with my Chemex in the past, and I have done it with this one as well. The saving grace is Fellow products has replaced my carafe free of charge and that was very kind of them considering it was my fault. Unfortunately if your going to use glass this is one of the problems with that median. When comparing it to a Chemex, the heat retention alone is worth its weight in sand. Now outside of the carafe, this is a pretty good pour over system. the XF and X pour over drippers have a flat design instead of funneled. What this allows your coffee to do is bloom with more consistency as well as allows water to filter through the grounds more evenly. I have personally done a Chemex pour over vs. a Stagg pour over side by side comparison, and the taste of the Stagg system wins hands down every time. If you are like me and subscribe to a coffee membership and are paying $20-$30/ 12-16 ounces of coffee then you want to make sure you are getting your moneys worth. Now on top of this being more expensive than a Chemex (or at least a standard Chemex), I must also disclose that the filters for the XF and X are pricey. The XF is $8 dollars for 45 filters which amounts to $0.18/ 1-2 cups of coffee depending on how much you brew at a time. The X filters you can get a 2 pack of 90 for $10 which amounts to about $0.11 a filter. I usually brew approximately 525ml at the most which is around 2 cups of coffee. The carafe handles this volume very well. If that is more than you make on average, then fellow also has a double walled cup that can be used as a small pour over carafe for single servings and works with both the XF and X drippers seamlessly. All of this being said, I still personally would not go back to a Chemex system because like I said, I personally feel the coffee just tastes better. In the end anything I am going to invest time and money into, I want to make it the best that I can.

* beautiful * dishwasher safe * properly sized for two 10oz cups of coffee * you can see what you're doing This solves my brew-two-drink-one problem and is visually nicer than brewing into a thermal carafe. It does not retain heat like a proper carafe, but I only need it to keep one held-back cup warm long enough for me to drink the first one. If I need more delay or more than two cups, out comes the stainless carafe. This is so much prettier for my everyday way of brewing (Kalita Wave 185). And being able to compare coffee level to markings means I can skip brewing on my coffee scale (i knooow, all the coffee geeks just shuddered).

Super disappointed. Minding my own business making my coffee as usual. I go to wash this after coffee is made and I notice a small crack and a missing piece of glass at the bottom of the inner wall. Carafe fills up with soapy water inside the walls. Ruined trash. May be borosilicate glass but even so maybe the glass isn’t thick enough to withstand 200 degree coffee. Therefore this is useless waste of money. Don’t buy.

It looks like the photos — I think it's attractive. As advertised, the double-wall construction is insulating: you can drip coffee directly into it, and then pick it and it scarcely feels warm. I wanted something I could brew into that would add some style to mu kitchen, and this meets the need. One minor disappointment: The instructions specifically advise against putting ice into it and then adding hot liquid. That's a reasonable restriction, but it means you can't make iced coffee by brewing pour-over directly onto ice cubes. Also, if you are looking for something to use in the microwave, this isn't it.

Hubsch aber hält den Kaffee nicht lange heiß. Nach 1 1/2 st kaum lauwarm...... Wozu dann.......Ziel nicht erfüllt!!

持ち手？（くびれてる首の部分）が日本人向けじゃないのか結構デカくて持ちづらいですね 男の私ですら滑って落としそうで怖い 手の小さい方は持ちづらいかも？ あとは洗う時マジで気をつけて下さい こんなん割れたら大変

I own a couple of other Fellow products so I am used to how well their products are made and packaged. But this double walled carafe is absolutely beautiful. I was eyeing this for a while on the Fellow website, and was surprised to find it listed on Amazon. A bit expensive but not that much more compared to the US price. Vendor shipped very quickly and it reached a day early even. A coupon code for future purchases would have been welcome.

The double wall works well, particularly as it enables safe handling when full of boiling water. I wish they were cheaper cos I’ve managed to break 2 so far. That’s me being clumsy and not a fault or weakness of the product.
