Very impressed - Nicer than my Montblanc rollerball
I don't usually review things, but I am really impressed with this pen.I find the pen market odd, I have owned quite a few pens much more expensive than this, and it is really strange how the prices correlate with performance. This is just pure value for money. It feels completely solid, the refills are readily available and it writes super smooth. The matte metal body has a lovely feel on your skin, not cheap at all. I also find the Champagne colour very pleasing and not too 'show-off'. It is the kind of pen that doesn't draw too much attention, but people who look will notice it. I find at work, gold pens get too many comments and I find it awkward.I am actually selling my Montblanc Pix rollerball (£200) and replacing it with this for 2 reasons: The Pix really does feel like a more premium pen than this despite a price 4x greater. The refills for MB rollerballs are crazy expensive yet write no better than a Parker pen.Take my word for it, in my limited experience of more expensive rollerballs, its really not worth it. This is as good as it gets. Fountain pens are a different story but you'll be really happy with this if rollerballs are your thing!

Nice
A pen is only as good as it's refills. The pen is great - really comfortable to hold and looks amazing. It writes really well, but it is not a ballpoint - so beware damp or water. Really smooth to use - just get the right refill.

Stylish and Solid, But I Prefer a Rollerball
The Parker IM Monochrome Black is a very well-made pen. It feels solid and weighty in the hand, which makes writing feel controlled and satisfying. The matte black finish looks really sleek and professional—definitely a pen that stands out without being flashy.I swapped in a Parker gel refill, and the black ink is smooth, dark, and consistent. It’s a big improvement over the standard ballpoint refill, which I found a bit too dry. That said, I personally still prefer the writing feel of a rollerball—I find them just a bit smoother and easier to glide across the page.Overall, it’s a great pen, especially if you like a bit of weight and a smart design. Not quite perfect for my writing style, but still a quality choice.4 stars – Great pen with gel ink, but I’d choose a rollerball next time.

Perfect for left handed users
I've been searching high and low for years a left handed fountain pen, like the one I used to have when at school. It seems that nib technology has moved on since the 80's so the nib doesn't split when being pushed across the page, and this pen is wonderful to write with.I've have had no issues with scratching or tearing the page , the ink dries almost instantly so there isn't any smudging, so need for blotting paper. Its perfectly weighted, and glides across the page.A total delight to use.

Best pen for the money
This pen looks beautiful and feels great to hold, with or without the cap on the back. It's heavy without being too heavy and the nib glides across the paper. The ink flow is perfect and I haven't had any problems with leaking. One huge pro is I haven't had any issues with the Parker brand Quink ink bleeding through paper, though I haven't thoroughly tested it, to be fair. The only cons are the pen doesn't come with a converter and it doesn't come in a fancy gift box, but for the price I'm more than happy to give up those things for a product of this quality.
