Super cool
These are great easy to install and wire up in my 2004 beetle.

Kind of dim but look nice, work great.
I have an 04 VW New Beetle. It originally had the rare expensive bi-xenon HID headlight assemblies with 9 pin connectors. Unfortunately the previous owners chopped off the female connector part inside the vehicle and installed their own little round LED light inside each assembly. There were no high beam options that way so it wouldn't pass inspection, and the d2s bulbs were $100+ each locally. I spoke with a mechanic who told me to order these and he'd make these work, he let it sit for weeks and decided he didn't want to mess with it ugh. I became tenacious in trying to make something work, and wired/spliced new 9 pin pigtails, still no high beams. I brought this to a different mechanic, he managed to splice into the new pigtail/harness I made and these are working perfectly. The only downside is that the HID lights were wayyyy brighter, without even using the high beam option on the hid's as you can see in my photos. The first 2 photos are this product in black/clear, the second set of photos are before installing, and my original euro hid assemblies. The lights have a much sleeker look to them though, and I'll be much happier replacing these much more cost effective h1 bulbs when the time comes.

Film on the head light is peeling of after 2/3 of year.
I purchased these for my 2004 beetle on March 14 2025 and the film on passenger headlight is already peeling off at the top so I wouldn't recommend!!! Unless your car is garage kept. But lights do still work

Good deal
A good deal for the price. A bit of extra wiring if you want the halo effect. And you may need to adjust the projection of the headlights afterwards. All in all, a good deal.

Plastic headlamp assy's
They arrived in much better packing then I expected. They fit the car pretty well but are a bit tedious to install due to the foam blocks for anti rattle. The instructions were written by someone learning english. They do include 4 quick connect splices. If you want to connect the LEDs you'll need 16 gauge or smaller wire, electrical tape or sealer, and wire strippers/crimpers & probably a knife to cut the casing back. The eyebrow lights are a bit disappointing as their not as bright as they should be. So far they seem to be holding up ok.

Nothing but problems
Terrible design projectors affriced broken in housing fix that put into housing lasted 2 weeks the little slides broke off in the factory hold downs headlight then blew out and is in. Million pieces on the side of the interstate

Super Bright
Looks like I got diamonds for headlights. Heads turn. Chicks dig the head lights. Guys wish they had these on their car. Great price. If you have a 2001 VW Beetle TDI like me, then pick up these hot lights. Oh, and unless you know how to ground wires and stuff, you'll have to take it to a professional. Its not costly though, I found a collision repair shop to put them in for me, and I just paid $25 apiece, so that's just $50 bucks plus around $165 for the lights themselves. They are worth it !!

Bad rubber
They look good but the rubber to seal it around doesn't match up and is flared out. Super disappointed.

not as we expected
We got these lights installed by a journeyman mechanic on my daughter's car and they are very dim. And to top it all off one of them actually fell out on the freeway to work! We had to switch her cars as she works until 11pm and needs headlights to get home! Very disappointed in these lights.
