Affordable and functional
What a great little paper cutter! The guide comes out so that you get a straight cut every time. I’ve only used it for one project so far At this point I would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable alternative

An Absolute Must-Have for Homeschooling & Crafting! If you prepare your own educational materials, flashcards, or unit study printables at home, the Firbon 12-Inch A4 Paper Trimmer is an essential daily tool. It takes the hassle out of sizing paper and makes prepping learning materials quick, clean, and precise. It is a light weight paper cutter/trimmer. The sharpness is on point if you push to hard it will become rugged and skip but if you barely push or push down it does just great! The grip is great for even little hands learning of course with supervision. I would say it’s pretty durable and I cut a lot of paper since I homeschool and have 5 kids!

Quick and effective
I’m usually a Fiskars snob, but didn’t want to pay that much this time. I feel this is the same quality and very effective, the price is must more attractive too.

Good for the casual crafter, serviceable for professional materials
SHORT FORM I bought this cutter to trim promotional postcards for my husband’s short film, to be given out at a film festival. It worked to get the job done to cut out 100 postcards. The first 30-40 were pretty smoothly trimmed. After that point there was a noticeable decline in cut cleanliness, and some more jagged edges. (I wish I’d taken some photos of the stacks to show what I mean, but, ah well). Ultimately, it worked for what I needed to do in a pinch, and you get what you pay for ($8.79 on Prime Day). DETAILED Between test prints and final prints, I used this cutter on around 60 pieces of 250gsm matte photo paper, 260gsm glossy photo paper and plain copy paper, with each piece of paper needing at least 6 cuts (2 postcards per paper). So, after around 360 cuts on thick paper, how did and how is the trimmer performing? The cuts started out relatively smooth and clean for the first 20 pieces of paper (120 cuts), but got noticeably less clean afterward. Every so often I would use a brush to clean off paper residue from the blade and from the blade-well, which helped little at improving cut smoothness. The blade seems to dull very quickly. There was a slight work around, of varying the pressure when pressing down on the blade holder to use parts of the blade that got less wear. However this is not a good workaround, since if you don’t press hard enough, it won’t cut all the way through anyway. (Attached to this review, I’m including a video of how the cuts look at this point, without switching out the blade) For cut accuracy, the margin of error is about 0.125-0.25cm, which is pretty significant if you’re trimming with a standard trim/bleed size of ⅛”. The extendable side ruler is also completely useless for maintaining right-angle cuts. It hyperextends just too far past what would make a straight line down the side, and is very wobbly, so getting that 90º cut with it was impossible. I had a better time eyeing it and using the grid printed on the cutter. I know these are very specific, granular gripes. If you are using this for casual crafting, this is probably a great cheap tool to get. But if you want or need that needlepoint accuracy and the smooth cuts for a large quantity, it may be better to invest in something more substantial. Still a good tool though. Again, you get what you pay for.

Perfect!
Wish I would have discovered this handy little device a long time ago. I am the no-so-proud owner of two of the heavy duty old fashioned paper cutters that have been used in schools and government buildings, etc. since Moby Dick was a minnow, one of them huge, the other of more modest size, both of them heavy and now dull. Above all, you can't conveniently carry them around with you. Enter Fibron A4--problems solved! This little sweetheart is compact, it weighs as much as a puff of air. It takes all of 60 seconds to get the hang of it, and another 2 minutes to get really good at it. Now, it's not for big jobs. Don't go jamming posters into it. But you can do pretty much anything you want with a 8.5" X 11" sheet of paper, even a stack of 4 sheets, maybe 5, but I doubt more than that. Carry it around with you from table to desk to counter; stick it in your shoulder bag and take it wherever you need it. If you fall off your skateboard and break it, so what, at $11 you can afford another one. If I were you, I'd put it in the cart right now.

Does the job
I’ve only used it a few times. But so far, I love it. It cuts smoothly. Like other paper cutters of this style, it’s easy to use. It’ll be a while till I will need to replace the blade. But it looks like it should be easy enough to do.

Amazing cutter
I have used many different cutters in my life. This the most accurate to use. You line up the cutting slot side to side and cut. It comes out perfect. I have cropped over a hundred photographs since I purchased it. I wish you could see the results. The cuts must be exact because the photographs are back to back before cutting out. I had a 24 hour photo store and I wish I had this cutter then.

Precise, sharp, and easy to use
I bought this paper cutter for trimming labels, craft paper, and the occasional school project, and it’s been excellent so far. The blade is sharp and cuts cleanly without tearing or fraying the paper. Even thicker cardstock trims easily with a single pass. The grid lines and angle guides on the surface are really helpful for keeping things straight, and the swing-out ruler is a nice bonus for anything wider than A4. It’s lightweight but doesn’t feel flimsy — and the safety guard keeps little fingers safe, which is a relief when kids are around. Great for hobbyists, crafters, or just anyone who wants to stop butchering paper with scissors. I wouldn’t use it for huge volumes, but for regular home or light office use, it’s spot on.

It is not the same as shown in the picture. There is no extension or opening. The product is just that . No extra ruler for 90 angle cutting as shown the in the picture. Highly disappointed. Not worth the price. There is No return pick up also .
