I love it. It was just what I needed for my personal coffee habits. Haven't used the carafe or the cup that came with it - just my own mugs. You do have to be mindful of when you're going to drink your coffee. There's no warming plate, so it will be cold if you don't use an insulated cup with a lid OR drink it immediately. With that said, it brews very quickly. I just brew it when I'm ready to drink it.

This machine is great for someone who just needs a cup or two in the morning. I purchased it after having used a single use system for over five years. I was getting tired of spending money for daily pods, and wasn’t feeling good about all the trash I was creating. (In all honesty, I do also have a Nespresso machine for lattes on the weekend, but with the new coffee maker, I’m now down to two capsules a week instead of seven, plus Nespresso takes back used pods to recycle).The Black & Decker machine doesn’t take up much space on the counter, and I think it’s pretty cute. Black is my favorite. The carafe holds “five cups”, which means it perfectly fills two mugs. As others have mentioned, there is no warming plate, so you have to be ready to drink your coffee right away.Saying this is a 4-in-1 is silly. I wouldn’t bother doing a pour over, and other than that, it’s just making coffee, the only difference is what you put it in. I have never once had to change the drip tray position. If I’m making two cups, I use the carafe, and if I’m making one, I just have it drip straight into a big mug. I do wish there was a drip stop so I could pull my cup of coffee midway. It takes about nine minutes for the entire carafe to fill.It really could not be simpler: fill with water, fill with coffee, turn it on, wait. There is a reusable metal filter included, but I have not used it. I opted for the very inexpensive, small size paper filters to make my cleanup quick. (Also there was a clear plastic mug included, which I personally think is useless, but fine). There is no auto shut-off, but since you really have to use the coffee right away, it’s easy to remember to flip the switch when you pour your cup.For me, this is an almost perfect coffee maker: small, simple to use, nice looking. Obviously this would not be a good choice for use with multiple people, but for two of us drinking one cup each it has worked out great!

I'm still working on adjusting the brew strength and brew cup size, as I just started using it. I love that I can use my own mega size mugs and travel mug with this. I'm very happy with it so far. Some of my own mugs don't fit well on the base, so I just use the glass carafe that came with it. I will note that this is not a top of the line coffee pot, I chose it because it was affordable, small and versatile.

This coffee maker does not have a heating pad to keep coffee warm. It makes pot or a cup but there is no way to keep the coffee warm so you have to drink it as soon as it is brewed. If it sits more than a few minutes after brewing, it will be cold.

I actually bought this little coffee maker for travel. But I have been using it in the house instead of using my Bunn. The little Black & Decker is perfect for my travel mug. I love how they made a spacer so it will accommodate different sizes of cups and the carafe.The price is right too! Great little coffee maker!

The coffee is not hot. If you don't drink it immediately after the machine stops making it, the coffee is barely warm. If you put milk or cream in your coffee, you will have to put it in the microwave if you want it hot. Minutes later you can actually touch the glass carafe with no discomfort at all. Also, it's a mess. Coffee grounds end up in the coffee and on the (heating?) plate. I don't put an excessive amount of coffee in the basket so I don't know (and don't care) why this happens. In the past I've had good luck with Black & Decker products, including coffee makers, but this one is a real lemon. Where was the QA department when this product was being manufactured???? Don't waste your money.

I bought this to replaced my 6 year old Keurig that finally wore out. Not at all the high quality that I expected from Black and Decker. Very cheaply made and not the least bit solid. Made of very flimsy plastic. When I tried to make 1 cup of coffee I would end up with 2 and a half and when I tried to make 5 cups of coffee I would end up with 4-4 and a half but not 5! This is also not good if you have one person who has to drink decaf and one who prefers regular coffee. I would make my decaf since I have a caffeine intolerance and then my Mom wanted a cup of regular coffee she would have to scrub the filter out first. Not as easy to clean as advertised. I returned this and are going back to the Keurig. This is not worth the $25 plus tax that I paid! This is only worth $9.99!

Sufficient and efficient for two 12 ounce cups; on, off, clean and go.Not meant for having company nor a whole pot of 12 cups. This coffeemaker fits a need for commuters or those with a consumption limit. Makes coffee hot; will not keep warm after brewing; manual shut off!
