I love that the flame is nice and wide. You can use this to sear sous vide steaks much moreso than other torches with a narrower flame. I love that when I hold this upside down the flame does not go out unlike cheaper ones. I also love the button to turn on and off. When you release the button, it turns right off. This thing is expensive for what it is, but worth it.

Much larger flame than the standard model. Just what I needed. Easy Piezo ignition starts every time. Well built and should last a long time.

I use torches sometimes to install vinyl onto cars, and I wanted a tip that was a litter bigger because it gives me easier and better control over the flame. I can comfortable say the product will work for a long time because all the installers I know have their original torch heads from at least 5-10 years ago. I trust Bernzomatic products!

Worked for two or more times now doesn't work will not fire up

I've bought similar Benzomatic torches in the past and have full confidence in their products. However the torch I received was obviously a returned item and resold to me. It had been opened and taped back together with common scotch tape. Not a good way to do business!

Believe it or not, I bought this to sear a crust on Sous Vide steaks, not for shrink tubing. The burner itself is the same as the Sansaire Searing Kit, it just has the Bernzomatic branding on it, and does not come with the raised searing rack. As I didn't care about the former, and didn't need the latter, I opted to purchase this for a good deal less than the Sansaire kit. This thing works quite well to put a crust on a sous vide steak in just a few minutes. Plus it has the "cool factor" of finishing your meals with a "flamethrower". For those not familiar of sous vide, it is a method of cooking (usually steaks and other meats) with food sealed in a bag, and kept in a tightly temperature controlled water bath for a period of time. So, a medium rare steak would sit in a water bath for 2 or more hours. At which point, the steak is perfectly cooked consistently to a medium rare doneness. However, from the outside still looks uncooked. Queue the BZ4500HS. The end result is a beautiful, restaurant-quality steak without the restaurant prices. I would highly recommend this torch for anyone looking to step up their cooking game, and it probably works OK for heat shrink too.

I bought this as package online with Amazon with the Searzall attachment but this is not compatible with this attachment. Very disappointed

this large flame, lock on button, and regulated use any angle body, is perfect. Never knew this existed and was always fighting with the cheap unregulated torch heads for cable splice / heat shrink work. A must have tool for any electrician.

I like the quality of the product and ease of operation. I use it for searing steaks and roasts prepared with sous vide. Works very well. i am very happy with it and highly recommend it.
