Leak Proof Water Bottle, 500ml (18oz), Light Purple

I’m really impressed with this water bottle. The 500ml size is perfect for daily use and it fits easily into car cup holders and bags. The design is sleek and modern, and the black finish looks great. It’s completely leak-proof, which is such a relief – no spills in my bag at all. The flip cover is very hygienic and easy to open with one hand, and I like the secure lock that keeps it firmly shut when not in use. It’s also dishwasher safe, making it super easy to keep clean. The carry handle is very convenient, and the bottle itself feels sturdy but lightweight. I also appreciate that it’s BPA-free and carbon neutral – a nice bonus for health and the environment.Overall, this bottle is excellent quality, practical, and reliable. Definitely one of the best water bottles I’ve used, and I’d happily recommend it.

Good quality, leak proof, my four year old and manage it on his own. Bought one for myself as well, fits in car cup holder. No funky plastic smell or taste, and easy to clean. There is an air hole above the drinking spout but unless you are tipping it upside down over your head, no water will come out. Very good

So far I’m really liking this bottle, no leaking I like the lock and the way you drink out of it. It doesn’t keep drinks cold necessarily and I’ll only use water for it because it’s plastic, I don’t want to spend a lot of money and I think this is a really good option.

Staying hydrated throughout the day is essential, and having a reliable water bottle can make that task much easier. The Ion8 Water Bottle (500 ml/18 oz) promises to offer convenience, durability, and a variety of features designed to enhance the user experience. After testing it for several weeks, I can confidently say that this water bottle does indeed live up to its claims. While there are a few minor drawbacks, the Ion8 is a solid performer and offers great value for the price. Here’s my in-depth review of the product.Design & Build Quality (5 Stars)The Ion8 Water Bottle is designed with convenience and ease of use in mind, and it shows from the moment you take it out of the box. The first thing that stands out is the sleek, modern design. The bottle has a clean, minimalistic look with a sturdy build. It's made from BPA-free, food-safe plastic, ensuring that no harmful chemicals leach into your water. The color (in this case, blue) is vibrant and eye-catching, which adds a touch of personality without being too loud. The bottle’s compact size makes it easy to carry around, and it fits comfortably into most standard cup holders, whether you’re driving or heading to the gym. The carry handle is a nice touch, as it makes the bottle easy to grab and carry, even if you have your hands full. The overall build quality is robust, and the bottle feels solid in hand. I appreciate how lightweight it is, making it easy to toss into a bag without adding extra bulk. The bottle is dishwasher safe, which is a huge plus in terms of convenience, as you don’t have to worry about hand-washing it every time you use it.Leak-Proof and Secure Lock Feature (5 Stars)One of the standout features of the Ion8 water bottle is its leak-proof design. Whether you’re tossing it into your bag, carrying it on a hike, or throwing it into a gym bag, I never had to worry about any leaks or spills. The secure lock mechanism works flawlessly, providing peace of mind that the bottle won’t accidentally open and make a mess. The locking mechanism is simple but effective. You just need to push the button on the cap to release the lock, and it clicks into place securely. It’s intuitive and easy to operate with one hand, which is essential when you’re on the go.This feature makes it an excellent choice for active individuals or anyone who needs a reliable bottle for everyday use. Whether you’re commuting, exercising, or simply carrying it around at work, the leak-proof design ensures that you don’t have to worry about water soaking your bag or belongings.Hygienic Flip Cover (4.5 Stars)Another great feature of the Ion8 Water Bottle is its hygienic flip cover. The cover protects the drinking spout from dirt and bacteria, which is especially important when you’re carrying your bottle in a bag or backpack. The flip cover is easy to open with one hand, making it convenient for on-the-go hydration. While the flip cover is a great addition to the bottle, it does require a bit of force to open initially. Once you get used to it, however, it’s not a major issue. The flip cover stays securely in place when closed, so there’s no chance of it opening by accident.Ease of Cleaning (4.5 Stars)The Ion8 Water Bottle is incredibly easy to clean, especially since it’s dishwasher safe. I’ve used this bottle for several weeks now, and I haven’t had any issues with buildup or residue. The bottle’s design makes it easy to reach all the nooks and crannies, so you don’t need to worry about mold or mildew developing in hard-to-clean areas. However, I did notice that the narrow neck of the bottle can make it a bit tricky to clean by hand, especially when it comes to the cap. While it’s not a dealbreaker, it’s something to keep in mind if you prefer to hand-wash your bottles.Size and Portability (4.5 Stars)The 500 ml (18 oz) size of the Ion8 bottle is perfect for short trips, workouts, or daily hydration needs. It’s compact enough to carry around without feeling bulky, and it fits comfortably in most cup holders and backpack side pockets. For those who prefer larger water bottles, this size may not be enough for extended periods without refilling, but for daily use, it strikes a great balance between size and portability. The carry handle is another notable feature here. It makes the bottle easy to grab and take on the go, whether you’re heading to the gym or just running errands. It’s a small addition, but it makes a noticeable difference in terms of convenience.Carbon Neutral & Eco-Friendly (5 Stars)One of the most impressive aspects of the Ion8 Water Bottle is its commitment to being environmentally friendly. This product is carbon neutral, meaning the carbon footprint of its production and transportation has been offset, making it a more sustainable choice. In today’s world, eco-consciousness is an important factor, and it’s great to see that Ion8 is contributing to sustainability efforts.By choosing a bottle like this, you're not only helping reduce plastic waste but also supporting a company that prioritizes the environment. This aspect is certainly a major selling point for anyone looking to make more eco-friendly choices.Price vs. Value (4 Stars)In terms of price, the Ion8 Water Bottle offers great value. It’s competitively priced compared to other similar bottles on the market, and given the quality of materials, design, and features, it’s well worth the investment. The bottle’s durability, leak-proof design, and easy-to-use features make it an excellent option for anyone looking for a reliable water bottle. The eco-friendly aspect adds even more value, as it’s a product that you can feel good about purchasing. However, while the bottle is an excellent value overall, some may find it slightly expensive compared to basic plastic or metal bottles. That being said, if you’re looking for a product with more thoughtful design and additional features like leak-proofing and sustainability, the Ion8 is definitely worth the price.Minor DrawbacksAlthough the Ion8 Water Bottle has many positives, there are a couple of minor drawbacks that are worth mentioning. The narrow neck of the bottle, while great for preventing spills, makes it a little less convenient for adding ice cubes or mixing drinks. You’ll need to carefully slide the ice cubes in or use smaller pieces to make sure they fit.Additionally, the flip cover, while hygienic and practical, can take a little more effort to open initially. Over time, it does become easier, but this is something to consider if you prefer a smoother opening mechanism from the start.Final VerdictThe Ion8 Water Bottle is a great choice for anyone in need of a compact, reliable, and eco-friendly bottle for hydration. Its leak-proof design, hygienic flip cover, ease of cleaning, and commitment to sustainability make it a standout product in a crowded market. While the narrow neck and initial difficulty with the flip cover may be minor inconveniences, they don’t detract significantly from the bottle’s overall performance. If you’re looking for a high-quality, durable, and environmentally friendly water bottle that offers great value for the price, the Ion8 Water Bottle is a solid choice.

This is my second time buying an ION8 water bottle. The bottle is stylish, lightweight and comes in a fabulous range of colours. What made me come back for a second one is the fact that it’s SO EASY to clean. So easy to wash by hand because there are no fiddly straws or awkward openings to get to. You can even pop in the dishwasher. I have been putting mine in the top rack and it comes out beautiful everytime. Colour stays vibrant and my child loves it. It has a latch and button on it to keep it closed. We have had ZERO leaks! It comes in different capacities, wr got the 500ml. It’s so easy to open by child has no problem refilling it at school. There are no funky after tastes with this bottle. As I said this is my second purchase. We have one blue and one orange. I would highly recommend!

The water bottle is poorly designed, when drinking the water goes up my nose leaking an air hole above directly above the drinking spout, causing the horrible drowning sensation of water being taken in by the nose. I had high hopes for this bottle being a branded Ion8 item, most importantly it came without a bacteria trap integrated straw. But it failed miserably at meeting my easy to do drinking experience for which it was purposely designed for. I tried adjusting the how high I was tipping the bottle up to drink, but then no water would come out of the spout, but even at the height required to stop it going up my nose it dribbled down my face onto my chest instead! Do notBuy this Bottle if you want to be able to drinkout of it without being partially drowned or getting soaked through!! lol xx

Great bottle for school lunches. Hardwearing

I bought these for the kids to take to school. I have a bit of a thing about reusable bottles as I don't think they're the most hygienic. I don't think you can ever get them fully clean. But these ones don't have little fiddly parts or straws and the whole lot can go in the dishwasher. We ordered the black one and it has the text on the side so you can check how much you've drank, but the bottle is solid black so that seemed a bit pointless lol. But honestly. If you're a bit fussy about reusable bottles, these are def worth it.
