Nishiki Medium Grain Rice, 80 Ounce

Great price, delicious sushi rice, has been subscribed for a while, but had two instances of the bag breaking, probably due to rough Amazon delivery. Could they tape both top and bottom? Not just the top.

I love Japanese sticky / sushi rice although I’m not a big fan of sushi itself. I make a sort of fusion dish I call sushi for beginners (and those of us who find seaweed a bit too…fishy tasting), which is sticky rice, diced avocado & soy sauce (sesame seeds make a great topping as well) and I’ve tried the recipe with about a billion different brands of Japanese rice…this is probably my #1 favorite - and would probably work out well in any number of Japanese rice dishes. The price is incredible for the amount & quality of the product.Highly recommend

Nishiki is excellent rice for a good price. Impossible to find California rice in our local stores, and California-grown white is the ONLY rice found to be safe to eat. All other regions produce rice with high levels of arsenic and cadmium. We polished off the 10-lb. bag in about 10 days and now the 15 pounder is on its way.

I love this rice! It is so much higher quality than what you can find at the regular supermarket. I wish we had a Japanese/Asian market close by because the quality is just superior.

Very good medium/short grain Japanese style rice. Perfect for sushi or fried rice. Quality/consistency are excellent. Use a rice cooker or cook on stovetop. (Hint: if you don't have a rice cooker, get one.) This type of rice is supposed to be slightly sticky. Don't buy this rice if you like dry, fluffy "western" style extra long grain rice.

wait. Addendum. It was on the local level you get really good value for the money was how Soros was doing it. It's more expensive the higher up until you can only put a stall across the street with whatever you want to contribute to.

Nishiki is the premium rice, whether white for sushi, or just eating & brown is a nice nutty premium for all rice dishes & or course, is better for your health. I was turned on to Nishiki by a Sushi chef friend many years ago.

Best rice there is, in my opinion. Sure it is much more expensive per pound than say long grain jasmin. How ever, it is probably $10 cheaper on amazon than it is in my local H-Mart. The rice literally makes the dish more Japanese tasting. You can make sushi, rolls, poke bowl ect.Not to mention people who live further from cities, would have trouble finding this locally. So thank you for carrying this item!
