Folding Flip Key Fob Shell Case Fit for Ford F-150, F-250, F-350 (2015-2020), Explorer (2016-2020), F-350, F-450, Black Plastic, 3 Buttons

My factory key had broken off of the fob. Purchased this to repair and it worked flawlessly. I was able to swap out the key and the circuit board and avoid a $150+ fee for a new key. My only complaint was the lack of instructions. Too me a bit to figure out how to disassemble, particularly how to remove the pin that holds in the key. Youtube to the rescue again.

Looks and feels just like the original key fob, maybe even better. For someone that hasn't assembled one of these key fobs and are having problems it's a must that you watch videos online as there are no instructions that come with the product. If it doesn't work for you then you haven't ordered the correct replacement part. People complain about the key in the fob doesn't work. Well, it's not going to. Be advised that this is not a key for your vehicle but just a replacement key fob shell if you have a broken button mechanism that lets the key flip out. The key blank in the replacement shell will need to be cut to fit the ignition in your particular vehicle or you can remove the roll pin that holds the key in and replace the blank with the original key. I replaced the blank key for now in the fob and plan to get the blank cut later to place under my vehicle in a magnetic case in case I lock accidently lock my fob in the car while out on the road.

We have a 2017 ford f250 and this worked well to replace a broken keyring loop on the original key. It was a pain in the rear to change though, requiring a specific tiny torx bit to fit the screw, and took a long time for my husband to figure out the appropriate spring tension for the key that releases with the button. Overall it was a worth the price and the effort required because a new key is much more expensive.

My original key literally fell apart. When I went to the store, they wanted $180.00 to replace it. Between this flip key fob shell and a torx screwdriver, I have $20.00 invested in replacing my key fob. I was also able to switch out the key blade, so I didn't have to pay to have the key cut. I used a small nail and hammer to push out the retaining pin. I switched the key blade and put the retaining pin back in. It looks and works like the original key fob.

Le quedó a la perfección a mi llave original, el único detalle es que si bien el perno lo pude sacar muy bien, uno de los extremos se abrió un poco al momento de sacarlo, pero lo solucioné sustituyéndolo con un pequeño clavo que por el tamaño y el grosor, pude cortar sin problema. Lo recomiendo
