This makes a good finish on my acrylic painted wood fogures

What would make this perfect is if it could be "food safe". Otherwise it goes on smoothly and each coat is a thin one so very clear and smooth.

I use this on every item I paint to protect the finish and prevent fading. Have used for many years.

Okay you have to put a bit more water than varnish if you don't want it shiny it does pretty good at least for keeping paint on I've tried to put a few layers on something to use watercolored pencils but I guess I need to put more layers on if I want to do that but either way if you want to make the paint job more durable this is it

I was asked to paint about 20 wooden hearts to be glued to a cord attached to a flower arrangement. One request was that they remain simple and not overpower the small arrangements they will be added to. I decided a nice satin finish would not distract from the overall arrangement. It went on easily without leaving brush marks, clean up was easy with soap and water. It was fast drying and durable.

I've tried other brands and they don't have the right consistency, or they thicken. This is perfect and works well on my wood and paper projects.
