You might want to go bigger.
Notice that the rim makes up a lot of the size and that they are narrow, so you might want to order a larger size. Although light, it seems sturdy. A bit expensive though. Cleans like a dream and heats up from hot food very fast. The 14" is the equivalent of a dinner plate. Functionally I think it make a better plate than the typical dinnerware.
